I am very lucky to have found, through a friend, Lakewood Animal Hospital. My dog has Addison’s disease and you have to be very diligent with his health and with his health care. The hospital staff is always so very friendly, informative and helpful. My guy can have an attitude at times and tries to intimidate the vets. However, with everyone here they only give him the most loving treatment possible; yes in fact I believe he is really starting to show his good side. I trust the doctors with him completely and that is saying a lot because even with the smallest of things he could go into an Addison crisis and we could loose him, but I believe in the clinic and I know they would be able to do what is required to bring him home safe to us. He has his main vet, who I might add saved him for us by determining he had Addison’s, but he has been a frequent visitor in the last few months with small things and we got to work with most of the vets in the hospital. Each doctor and staff person has been wonderful with him. He is finally getting his socialization done at the age of nine and everyone is an excellent role model for him, yes he is becoming a friendly loveable dog just like we knew he was deep down. Who knows he might even be learning to be a vet and he can take care of us in our older years. :)
