Caring and knowledgable

I have been a patient of Dr. Martin-Wimmer for almost 15 years and have had numerous appointments for all sorts of issues and normal check-ups. My husband originally was her patient and when I needed to see a dermatologist, he referred her to me. I have also taken my daughter and son to her for different issues (rashes and acne treatments). Her experience in dermatology is coupled with an absolute genuine concern for her patients and she takes the time to listen, understand what is happening, and determine solutions for her patients. The staff is extremely professional and courteous. They always have me leaving with a smile on my face! I would highly recommend Dr. Martin-Wimmer for any patients needing/seeking a Dermatologist.

Terrible experience! I can not say how disappointed and ripped off I feel about my experience with Alpine Dermatology. My first Appt I sat and waited for over an hour before seeing the doctor. No one ever apologized for the inconvenience. I understand that it is hard to keep a schedule and doctors are notorious for running behind but over an Hour!!!! After having one mole removed, grand total of about 20 minutes of actual doctors time, I was charged $440.00. I paid it myself not having health insurance, which by the way many doctors actually give a discount for being self pay, and scheduled my "follow up" appt. I went to the "follow up" appt today and sat this time for 35 minutes before the doctor came. She put some ointment and a band-aid on my wound and we said our good byes, again not having apologized for the inconvenience of my long wait. I was then told I was being charged $67.00!! I couldn't believe it; they charge for follow up appts and never even told me there would be a charge. If I had known I wouldn't even have gone. I explained this to the so called office manager who told me there was nothing she could do but she understood. Yeah right way to show it! So if you have nothing but time and are interested in supporting a total rip off insurance scam doctor than by all means this is the one for you!!!! Even if I wasn't moving out of state there is no way in hell I would be going back here and that is before I was charged for a follow up appt!

OMG! Run to another derm

Horrible, just horrible. Been with her for almost two years and always an hour plus wait in the waiting room and then at least 30 minutes in the check up room. Staff is slow, undereducated about anything that has to do with skin, and their favorite answer is.... drum roll please..... "I dont know". They do the classic MD scam. They make you book appointment after appointment before they help with a script. Then they cancel the script once it is filled the first time and you have to go in to get the script again. BAD way to run a business. Far to many derms out there that appreciate their patients and realize that we are paying to see them. Dr. Wimmer, treat you patients like humans not like a dollar sign.

DO not go here

Waited 30 minutes to be called back then was asked to undress and get into a gown. 50 minutes waiting naked in a small gown in a very cold room no one had even came in. I left and will never return. This place is a joke Do not go. Their billing methods are weird to say the least.

CROOKS!

I really should have read the reviews before we took our daughter to this place. We showed up on time for every appointment and ALWAYS saw the doctor 30-45 minutes after arriving. None of their staff could tell us how much the appointment/procedure was going to cost or even an estimate. The doctor nor the staff could tell us how long the treatment was to last, not even an estimate AGAIN. We finally had to cancel our daughter's appointments because the extremely high bills were beginning to mount. The following day we get a call at 9 in the morning very aggressively demanding payment. We set payment arrangements only for them to take the payment in full from our bank account without permission. There are more friendly, less expensive and honest dermatologists to take your family to. I would not recommend this facility to my worst enemy. Avoid at all costs, literally.

Find Somewhere Else!

The main problem with this place is their billing practices. They charge an outrageous amount for procedures and they force you to use your credit card if you want them to submit a claim to your insurance company. When you try to call them about any bills, they use an outside billing company that has no idea about what you saw the doctor for so they cannot answer any questions about your bill. When you call the actual doctor's office the staff are VERY VERY rude. There are better doctors out there so if I were you, save yourself the headache from dealing with the place! They also try to make you buy their products that they developed...it is like dealing with salesmen. Not to mention that their products made my skin worse!

gentle and knowledgeable

I love visiting this office I have gone to many appointments for neumerous check-ups and I have only good things to say. The Dr. is knowledgeable and comforting, the staff is nice and helpful and I always leave feeling like I was treated fairly and given a fair price (especially since I am uninsured) and she always gives me cost friendly suggestions to try before recommending the more expensive route. I am more than happy with the results I have gotten as a patient here and I have recently referred my mom to this office!

Worst Medical Office Experience Ever!!

I waited in the waiting room for a longer amount of time than I actually saw the Dr. for. The entire time I was there I was pressured to buy skin products from the office. The staff was unprofessional and in my opinion unfit to be around patients. The Dr. was unprofessional in both appearence and demeanor. I never saw her wash her hands, not once! The Dr. offered no real advice or insight into my dermatological condition just pressured me to buy more products at the front counter. At the end of the appointment they told me I absolutely had to schedule a follow up appointment which I unfortunately did. Before that appointment came around I tried to cancel it and they said I could not cancel my appointment without recieving $89 in fees. When I tried to ammend this the receptionist told me I was "behaving like a child" and hung up on me. This office is unscrupulous and unethical. I would honestly recommend that their practicing licenses be removed and the place shut down.

Worst Medical Office I've Ever Been To

I needed a dermatologist and so I scheduled an appointment. The building was hard to find and in a so-so part of town. I waited in the waiting room for a longer amount of time than I actually saw the Dr. for. The entire time I was there I was assaulted by displays and advertisements for skin products to buy from the office. The staff was unprofessional and in my opinion unfit to be around patients. The Dr. was unprofessional in both appearence and demeanor. I never saw her wash her hands which is disturbing to say the least. The Dr. offered no real advice or insight into my dermatological condition just pressured me to buy more products at the front counter. I've gotten better advice from fortune cookies than I got from the Dr. about treating my condition. At the end of the appointment they told me I absolutely had to schedule a follow up appointment which I unfortunately did. When that appointment came around I recieved no courtesy call informing me of the impending appointment and when I did get in contact with the office they said I could not cancel my appointment. I've never ever not been allowed to cancel an appointment at any place of business. They charged me $89 for missing an appointment I called and said I would not be able to make. When I tried to ammend this the receptionist told me I was "behaving like a child" and hung up on me. This has been the worst (absolute worst) experience I've ever had with any medical office. This office is unscrupulous and unethical. I would honestly recommend that their practicing licenses be removed and the place shut down.
