World of Games is a brick and mortar business founded in 2005 by Phil Bieber. He, along with his friend Phil Jones, is proud to serve the gaming, collecting, and computing needs of Lakeville and the surrounding MSP area. Phil B. and Phil J. loved video games and computers growing up. When Phil B. parted from IBM in 2005, he was excited for the opportunity to blend his fondness of gaming with his knack for computer programming/repair. Phil B. decided downtown Lakeville was the place for World of Games more specifically, the historic firehouse. Once the firehouse space was successfully repurposed and established as a video game and computer repair hub for the South-of-the-River Suburbs, Phil B. called on Phil J. to leave Iowa soon after and join him in Minnesota. The two have been in the store succeeding at small business in small town since. IT'S ALL ABOUT LOCATION Customers will find World of Games in the quaint and historic firehouse of downtown Lakeville at 20777 Holyoke Avenue, One-half block South of Babe's Restaurant and just past Ben Franklin. A small purplish-red door will mark the entrance to World of Games. Please come and open this odd little door on Holyoke Avenue because 2000 square feet of fun, fantasy, necessity, and curiosity wait!
