I started riding here seven years ago. I love the structured environment and plethora of horses and saddles available. The owner, Ann, makes sure to take suggestions to heart and has created a great lesson environment. Riders are able to track their improvement by the rating of Mini (beginner), Pony, Pinto etc. It is a great beginner stable. You become very comfortable with horses.

The instructors are great, they push you to learn and improve. The horses are usually great, though there are a couple that need to be taken out of the lesson program because they literally go after other horses when they are being ridden, even the most experienced riders have difficulties with them.

The only thing I do not like about this stable is the fact that there will be an amount of pressure to show or lease once you reach a certain point in your riding. If you don't show, you will feel significantly left out because you won't get the chance to get to know some of the show riders. If you choose not to lease, or cannot afford it, there will be a plateau point. I have reached it, and although I love GRS, their horses and the environment, it may come time for me to leave because their horses no longer challenge me the way I would like them to.
