Before dr. Vargas would before my colonoscopy and endoscopy he insisted I see him for a consultation. I arrived at his office 15 minutes before my scheduled time waited an hour after my scheduled time. My consultation consisted of him listening to my heart rate. My doctor is requesting I get a colonoscopy and an endoscopy i asked dr. Vargas if he can schedule them both the same day he said no your insurance company will not allow it. I went to the reception area schedule my appointment just for Giggles I asked the receptionist the same question about scheduling appointments the same day receptionist said no insurance company will not allow it. When I get home of course I call my insurance company my insurance company they said not only will they allow it but they highly recommend it since they were scheduling my appointment Within two days of each other which would mean I would have to go under anesthesia twice in three days. I called dr. Vargas office back explain to them what the insurance company said they said no you misunderstood. It's the doctor will not allow both procedures at the same time they claim the doctor will not get paid on the cheaper of the two procedures which would be the endoscopy. Of course I call the insurance company back insurance company said no your colonoscopy is covered 100% including the anesthesiologist and the endoscopy is paid 80% which I would be responsible for the other 20%. Folks beware this is a racket if I had scheduled the appointment with dr. Vargas that would mean I would be responsible for not only the anesthesiologist but the co-pay and all that applies to the endoscopy. Whatever happened to doctors oath Do no harm.
