Why did you decide to become a physician?When I saw doctors treating my close relatives, I felt medicine was the best profession that suits my interest in touching many lives in a positive way. What do you enjoy most about working with patients?The satisfaction of improving patients’ quality of life and making them feel better offers me the most enjoyable moments as a doctor. When did you know you wanted to be a doctor?During high school, I knew I wanted to be a doctor. How does your work improve lives?People come to see a doctor when they have a problem or healthcare concern. They trust the doctor and share everything about themselves. I value their high trust and try to help them in a compassionate way. I believe addressing their concerns, helping them to get rid of their suffering and making them feel better improves the quality of patients' lives. What are some interesting facts about you?I have spent some time in remote Himalayan areas (hiking, trekking, healthcare camps, etc). With what community and volunteer organizations are you involved?I am active with the American College of Cardiology. Tell us about your family.My wife is a Doctor of Pharmacy, and we have two daughters: a 6-year-old and an 11-month-old.
