Over priced, arrogant, and rude. Everything thing is a la carte. Drove an hour just to be told they didn't have time even though an appointment was made ahead of time. Located in the back of a small town strip mall. I am inclined to believe the fantastic reviews are by employee's and friends.

I have to say, I have been to many stylists in my life and have NEVER (I mean NEVER) been under the care of such incredible knowledge and talent. From the start of my consultation, all the way until the final product, Sherry and Rebekkah took an immense amount of time to nurture my hair. Yes, the prices are higher than any other salon in the area - but my hair has never looked more glamorous. Like everything else in life, you get what you pay for. I promise you, these professional stylists can not be outdone. From the incredibly friendly, doting, staff - to the plethora of expertise between Sherry and her team, I am beyond impressed.



I went in with icy blond hair (with dark brown roots, yuck) and came out with a rich chocolate brown that I am in awe of. The girl that cut my hair worked absolute magic with her scissors, I have never had a better cut in my life. The transformation they were able to achieve is beyond words.



Treat yourself to beautiful hair, you are worth it!

I am someone who has no problem spending money on my hair, but even by my standards this was insane. I have been getting shampoos and blowdrys for years in Lake Mary, and I paid almost DOUBLE what I normally spend. I went in for a shampoo and blowdry. I have curly hair that is a few inches past my shoulders. After my blowdry was complete, my hair was still a little frizzy and needed a flat iron run over it. My stylist spent 10 minutes (maybe, at the most, 15) running the flatiron over my hair. Then they charged me $76!! For a shampoo and blow out! They said it was $48 for the blowdry, and another $28 for the (10 minute) flat iron. Like I said, I’m OK with spending my money, but $78 for getting my curly hair blown straight is exorbitant.

My stylist was actually very nice and friendly, and my hair looks very good. The girls at the front desk were quite unfriendly though.

By the way, there was absolutely no mention that there would be an additional $28 charge if they ran over my hair for 10 minutes with an iron.

Unfortunately I will have to find somewhere else in Lake Mary where I can get my weekly blow drys :(

Love this place! All the employees are very helpful and well informed. I have had the best cut of my life from Soehne! She's the best. Started getting my hair colored at this salon to cover gray and have never felt that my new hair color did not look natural!

LOVE this place!!! I have been coming to Salon Ratay for a couple of years now after many frustrations with my previous salon. I come here once a month for color touchups and trims. Everything about this place is top notch. When you walk in, you are greeted promptly and welcomed as though you have arrived at a friend's home. Jacob (the manager) is one of the nicest people I have ever met. Sherry (the owner) is always a pleasure to talk to. All of the colorists and stylists are incredibly nice and professional.



The nice thing about this salon is that the colorists and stylists are all trained by Sherry, so, if one colorist or stylist is not available, you can be confident that you will get the same incredible results with another one. At the present time, Holly is my colorist and Tarah is my stylist (they are both terrific!!) Seonhee and Alicia have also styled my hair and they are both wonderful.



On numerous occasions, I have witnessed amazing tranformations at Salon Ratay. I have seen new customers who came in with hair that was (for lack of a better term) a complete mess, and later left feeling happy and confident with completely beautiful hair.



Salon Ratay does charge more than other salons, but, to me it is worth every penny.



Based on what I have seen, I would highly recommend Salon Ratay.

It's too bad I didn't read the review that is already here before I went to this Salon. I had the same colorist (Nikki) Nicole, fortunately she did not work on my hair. She seemed at a total loss on how to color my hair. She kept telling me what she couldn't do instead of letting me know what she could do. The receptionist Jacob didn't listen to me when I told him I wanted color and highlights and just put me down for color. So, Nicole kept telling me she didn't have time to do what I wanted. She spent at least 20 minutes telling me this when she could have been working on my hair. Twice she left me sitting in the chair, the second time after about 3 minutes, I walked out. Not customer friendly at all. The owner did call me back and apologize but it seems that they can't deal with an older woman's color needs. I would not recommend this salon to anyone.

Bad experience, unprofessional, they left my roots darker than the rest of my hair, I cried when I saw my hair...frustrating experience, Nicole called me, asking me to go back and fix my hair but i refused i dont trust them, i sent an email to the owner , never replied ...she doesnt care about her costumers
