I just wanted to give a little input.. I've been tanning for many years...the way everyone puts people and places down is so unnecessary... There are many nice salons in area all over...but I went to PLATINUM TANS ON RT. 15,IN LK.HOPATCONG..VERY NICE PEOPLE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE ON TANNING NICE CLEAN ATMOSPHERE... THE WORLD IS IN CHAOS..WHY NOT ENJOY LIFE....THIS PLACE IS FINOMINA..... GOD BLESS TAN ON....EVERYONE DOES LOOK BETTER WITH A TAN!!! YOU WILL ALWAYS GET A RARE FEW UNHAPPY...BUT I WILL SAY EXCELLENT ALL AROUND...

I purchased their groupon a few months back and have been tanning with a new package since my groupon expired. The groupon was honored without a problem. The only reason I could think anyone would ever have a problem getting it redeemed is if they didn't read the fine print and directions before purchasing... :-)

DO NOT BUY THEIR GROUPON OR COUPONS! They get you in by these deas,and then refuse to honor them,even if you have proof you paid! Ridiculous & very bad business reputation... Which I learn after I spend money!

Great prices, welcoming and comforting staff, and very clean, home-like enviroment. I've tanned with a couple other salons and this is definitely the best I've ever been to!!

We went in prior to a winter getaway trip, in order to get a base before we left and maybe to maintain some color after we got back. First we went in Weds morning and talked to a woman at the counter who offered us 20% off.



We left to think about it and went back to ask more questions during their 'happy hour' since the sign said it was weds 4-6pm and half off tans and packets. There was a nice guy at the counter then, and we talked to him and he said he would give us the 20% that the previous person offered, and the 50% off advertised by the sign out front. The deal was 5 tans for $75 plus 5 free tans. He pointed out that if we bought at $30 bottle of tanning stuff we would get additional free tans (per another sign, well our bottle was $29.95 and he said 'close enough') and when we bought a pair of goggles for $4 (they are not free here like beach bums and other places) he threw in a second pair for my wife for free. That sounded like a great deal so we signed up and did our first tan.



When we went back for a second tan the next day, someone else was there that said we didn't pay and the guy the day before had made a big mistake and they needed to charge us a lot more. They said the sign out front was for 50% off 'tanning and packets' not 'packages' and he shouldn't have given us that price (even though we bought *tanning*!). I thought it was very misleading and deceptive, because it sure sounds like it when you say "tanning and packets". Who knows that 'packets' are the small size products? Why not just say 'products' or whatever instead of misleading jargon? Then they took away the free tans because the lotion was $29.95 and not $30 (the guy who sold it to us said 'close enough' with tax and whatever). Then they charged us for the second pair of horrible $4 goggles that we couldn't even get to stay on our faces and had to put together!



I talked to the owner, who would only honor the original 20% off, so we still had to give back the 50%, free tans for the lotion (which probably does nothing anyway, but we bought it for the free included tans), and had to pay an extra $4 for the other goggles. I feel that we made our purchase decision based on what we were told by *their employee* at the time and it's not our fault if the guy was not properly trained and they are the ones that hired him. I guess we're back to bleacher bums when we use up our tans. I think these other reviews could be written by friends/relatives/owner so be careful of a lot of glowing reviews for this or any place, pay attention to the ones that aren't so glowing.

I've been a customer at Beachbum for years, and let me tell you, Platinum Tans beds blow them out of the water. Great customer service, clean facility, and a very homey environment. I'd recommend this salon to anyone looking for a relaxing 10 minutes in their busy lives.

So pleased to of finally found a good local salon that is actually CLEAN!! The beds are strong and the prices are reasonable. My wife and I just bought packages tonight for the next 3 months. We also got a discount on bottles of lotion. We are both very pleased with this new salon and will be recommending it to our friends!

Decided to try out this new salon on my lunch break and was pleasantly surprised by how clean it was. The girl working was very sweet and seemed to know her stuff. I bought a sample of lotion and went in their 8 minute stand up. I will be back later this week to buy a package with them

Friendly staff, great beds and products, & awesome grand opening specials!!! Highly reccomend!
