I am in the midst of a remodel and was in need of a new furnace and ductwork. I had 4 heating contractors come in and Northend was one of them. After meeting with Doug and going over my ideas, I felt very comfortable with him and was impressed with his knowledge and the estimate was very fair. I decided to go with him and I do not regret my choice. His crew was knowledgeable and likeable. They did a clean job and left my basement looking better than it did when they arrived. I would definitely recommend them to my family and friends or anyone looking for a solid HVAC contractor.

Northend Home Heating saved us thousands over what we would have paid otherwise and sold us only what we needed. If you feel like you are being sold a used car and not a furnace, give Doug a call. Doug's approach is practical and was very helpful in clearing the muddy waters of purchasing a replacement furnace. Northend completed the job quickly and cleanly!

Had to call Doug to check out my heating system which is an older system. Doug came within the hour and assessed the problem and educated me on how heating systems need to work. Not pushy on having me upgrade my system. Loved that. I will definitely be calling back for further service. An like others said, do yourself a favor and call!

Last week, I finally got my new fireplace and went to install it only to find the shut off valve was defective. I called Doug and true to his advertising of being proud of his work, he came out and replaced the valve for free and even hooked up my new fireplace for me!!! He stands by his work!!! And as if hooking up my new fireplace was not enough extra service, he found a dryer vent that had come loose and offered to fix it for me --- for FREE AGAIN!!!

I originally had Doug replace my oil furnace with a high efficiency gas one. He was quick, professional, clean and found ways to work around a very small area to make everything work. Rather than selling me an expensive filter, he told me where to get the replacement online at a much cheaper price.

Only one word describes the service of Nothend Home Heating, FANTASTIC! Doug installed a furnace at our home 7 years ago. We have never had a problem, until, 1/14/12. The furnace was not turning on and it was very cold, (the first snow of 2012 in Seattle). I called Doug and he immediately set up an appointment for that day! We were not expecting such prompt service on a Saturday. He called again and said he would arrive, one hour earlier than scheduled! With snow on his truck, he arrived and after a bit determined what the problem was and fixed it. As other reviewers have said, do yourself a favor and call. I would adjust the stars to 10!

When Doug installed our furnace and hot water heater 12 years ago, Yelp did not exist. We could only extend our thanks to him and refer others. After 12 years of flawless equipment performance (during which time we never had reason to call), we had Doug and son Paul over for a furnace maintenance check, minor repair and duct work sealing. Just as we remembered, the service was once again prompt, efficient, neatly done and a great value. Doug even came back for a minor tweaking. We have great confidence in the integrity and service provided by Northend Home Heating and recommend them without reservation.

Excellent!! Doug and his son where quick to respond after an old furnace quit, leaving us cold and frankly miserable. They offered a replacement and removal of our old furnace as well as information and applications for two different rebate programs saving us $600.

Doug and his crew know their stuff as they replaced our electric forced air furnace with a gas furnace, added some ducts & vents, and installed gas pipe for other appliances including for a gas fireplace. They thought through the best ways to overcome some difficulties and came up with solutions that not only solved the issues but were as visually discreet as possible. They thoroughly tested the furnace and all gas line joints.

Doug and crew installed a new furnace in my home a couple months ago. They only sold me what I needed, the price was reasonable, and they had the new unit in-and-running the day after I called for the estimate. They also threw in a new programmable thermostat and cleaned up some sloppy gas plumbing (that had been done previously by someone else) at no extra charge. The whole crew was very friendly, professional, and had the job done quick.

ON the Job Custom Duct Work... Quality and Service was top notch... couldnt have asked for anything better.. the price was way lower than the 3 other bids i had gotten.. and i received top of the line equipment and service.. Doug is a great guy... He even fixed a few other things that were wrong with my electrical board in my office.. thanks a bundle.. call him today,.. he's great and reasonable 206 367 6055

Northend Home Heating installed return air ducts in my home recently. The service was exceptional and the contract completed as promised. Very professional. The cost was below other companies I received estimates from. When the work was finished, with no further obligation and at no cost, Doug kindly fixed a problem I had in my home that was unrelated to the work that had been completed. I am very appreciative of the extra time and effort he gave. I highly recommend Northend Home Heating and will definitely refer the company to others.

Northend Home Heating exceeded our expectations in every way. We needed to replace our furnace. Doug offered a better price than two other companies, and made a clean deal, without trying to sell me anything I didn't need. Doug, John, and Ron installed the furnace and did some ductwork to significantly improve our heating system and dispose of old materials (including asbestos). They threw in a few extras, like a new thermostat, an extra filter, and a great warranty on labor. When the job turned out to be more complicated than we thought, Doug explained clearly what the problem was, and maintained his original price tag. All of the work was done quickly, cleanly, and with a good sense of humor. I would highly recommend Northend Home Heating to anybody in the Seattle area, and will definitely call them back for our future heating needs.

Doug and his crew did a great job on our home, putting in custom ductwork and some whole house fans. Very dependable. professional, and neat. He seems to know his stuff--I'd recommend him highly.

Doug Hamilton and his crew were extremely helpful in the installation of my new furnace. They were reliable, friendly, answered ALL my questions & in terms I could understand and they left the area cleaner than when they arrived. Doug was referred to me and in the beginning everything was great. He was prompt, showed up as scheduled, and installed the furnace in one day with absolute ease. About a week later I decided to call him back for a second installation as I figured I would add in an AC unit especially since the previous service was performed easily and I was so pleased with the outcome. Again, Doug arrived on time as scheduled, and the work was done quickly as he was finished by about 1pm. The problems started immediately after the AC unit was installed as I came home that day to find a puddle of water under the furnace in the basement. I called Doug immediately and he happily agreed to come out the next morning to fix what he thought was an un-level compressor. Day two. Again… arrived home to find a puddle of water and called Doug to come fix the problem and he came out the next day (which was on the weekend) and said that the compressor was burnt out and that he’d have a replacement motor on

I had a wonderful experience with Northend Home Heating. The owner Doug was very helpful and knowledgeable. It took less than a week from the time I called to the time I had my new gas furnace and additional ductwork installed. Doug was able to work around my schedule and got things done cleanly and efficiently. I strongly recommend Northend Home Heating to anyone considering a new furnace or ductwork.
