Fairly new to Laffy and seems appealing, but l strongly suggest you don't go this route! They have other similar places that offer high intensity workouts! MMA gym on Ambassador and HIT with HJ on Verot school road to name a few. The contract you sign means nothing. The owners are unprofessional to say the least. Contract ended in Feb 2014 then went month to month. For several months I went to the club to cancel membership and the staff "didn't know how." I literally went there in March, April, and May and nothing. They were forcing me to accumulate more charges. I began documenting all correspondence and took pictures of all notes I left with staff clearly stating I wanted to terminate membership. This was mainly because they would constantly say they had no recollection of me wanting to cancel. I attempted to appeal this with owners Cheri and Wayne, but was not successful. I even called "corporate" and voiced my concern with what was happening to me and the lady who answered stated that they are privately owned and all operate with their own rules. Also that they weren't part if the BBB. The owner said same when I spoke about reporting them. All they did was threaten me with ruining my credit and disrespecting me with very absurd conversations. Like I said, I was forced to continue accumulating fees. I didn't feel it was fair to pay but I wanted to resolve this problem ASAP with whatever they wanted. So I went to the club to pay and the owner was present. I paid the whole balance and waited for 45 minutes for her to figure out how to cancel the membership. She reassured me that the membership was cancelled and I wouldn't be charged anymore. About a month later the manager, Tia, calls me stating she found one of my notes about canceling and she wanted to see if this was taken care of yet. I informed her that it was taken care of in Title's favor, more money. I asked that she inform them that she did find the letter. I didn't ask for the refund, only asked for them to be aware. Well, On August 8th, I get a phone call stating that my account was in phase 1 of collections. I contacted the collection agency and they followed up with the club. Tia called me back asking if there was anything she could do to make me continue with the contract. I reminded her of who I was and how I would never allow them to get another penny from me. I didn't think much of it when she stated that the contract would finally be terminated on 8/8/14 until I get my credit card statement and I have a charge from June and July on my credit card for title. CHERI, THE OWNER NEVER CANCELLED THE CONTRACT. I am waiting for them to contact me to resolve this current problem but I have little confidence they will chargeback my cc, due to their error. All I am really saying is that if you want to have an experience like this, sign up with them!
