Dr. Itty specializes in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine, treating and caring for patients suffering from respiratory disease, as well as attending to those acutely ill in the intensive care unit.  She was born and raised in Canada, met her husband in medical school and they decided to settle in Louisiana where he is from. Dr. Itty completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Albany Medical Center located in Albany, New York, went on to become Chief Medical Resident, and continued there with a fellowship in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine.  She has published articles in medical journals relating to pulmonary disease and critical illness. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary disease.
