The girls ordered their dresses March 2015. I called August 2015 asking the arrival date of the dresses. I was told January 2016. So one of my maids calls Jan. 4th and they tell her the dresses have been in since Oct 1st 2015!!!! REALLY! So no one thought to call me or my 8 maids!!! They proceed to tell her that they called the bride (me) several time. I DID NOT RECEIVE ONE CALL FROM THEM! Okay so lets say they called me several times and I did not pick up, why didn't anyone called the 8 maids! I asked her that all I heard was crickets. They had 8 dresses sitting in storage and they never thought to call one person!

My wedding is in March and a few of my maids do not stay in Lafayette or even in Louisiana. I was os furious I told the lady my maids do not trust them with the alterations and we will be taking our business else where.

DO NOT BUY YOUR DRESSES FROM THIS PLACE!!

ZERO STARS! THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE! FULL OF LIARS AND IDIOTS! My wedding was in April 2015 and I spent the entire week before my wedding crying about bridesmaid dresses that were either late, lost, or the wrong size. The manager lied and said she sent dresses to bridesmaids the week before the wedding when in fact she hadn't. 7 days before my wedding the manager sent an altered SAMPLE to one of my bridesmaids that was 5 inches too short that was a size SMALLER than her dress. When she was confronted about it, She proceeded to say "your bridesmaid said she thought the dress she ordered would be too big" SO YOU SEND HER AN ALTERED SAMPLE A SIZE SMALLER THE WEEK BEFORE THE WEDDING WITHOUT ASKING HER?? WTF IDIOTS. She had to overnight her dress which gave us 1 day to get the entire thing altered which cost major $$ and a mild heart attack!! Absolutely worst experience of my life. THIS LYING BUNCH OF FOOLS almost ruined my wedding. Don't EVER do business with these people. THEY ARE SCUM.

One star too many. My friend's wedding is saturday... today is thursday. My dress JUST CAME IN a few hours ago. And, I am in Baton Rouge with my special needs son to see his neurologist, geneticist, and get an EEG, I won't be back in town until only a few hours before the wedding. I have plenty to worry about without having to worry about whether I would even HAVE a bridesmaid dress to wear at my friend's wedding. I paid months and months ago, there was no reason under the sun that my dress should have come this late. So I hope on saturday that my dress doesn't need alterations because I will be trying it on for the first time only an hour or so before. Thank you very much, I will make sure anyone I know never goes to Charisma in Lafayette.

We ordered brides maids dresses from here and paid extra for a rush order. It's a week from the wedding and some of the dresses are not in. I called two days ago and they said it wasn't in but it would be in any day now. I called back today November 5th and they claim that my dress has been in since the 1st. This place is horrible and I will inform everyone I know not to take their business here.

I ordered one of my bridesmaids dresses from this place in November 2014 with my wedding being July 11, 2015 they told us it would take four months for the dress to come in it's a week away from my wedding and I still have no dress, no one's willing to help, no one calls back, when we did talk to someone she told us I told you it would take 6 to 9 months for the dress I come in which is a lie she never told us this until now because if she would've told us this we would not have ordered the dress from this place and we made damn sure to ask how long it would take to come in when we ordered the dress. This is ridiculous I am absolutely disgusted by this place and will never step foot in there again!!!!

I went in with an idea and some examples of what 8 was looking for, and Kristen was on top of everything from the beginning to the end. She pulled all the dresses I liked and was very efficient about it, unlike all the other bridal shops I went to. I went about 10 months before my wedding and had everything in and tailored with plenty time to spare. They are a busy place with 100 s of customers, so all the picky bridzillas out there need to realize they are human with ordering regulations that they Have to follow,and Do a wonderful job. It is not their fault if you wait until last minute to order. I'm very grateful I went there and had Kristen as my sales associate.

I am so pleased with the customer service I received here! I was nervous about finding a dress with only 30 days and figured I would have to settle for one. Kristen immediately helped me when I came in and gave me magazines to choose dresses from and she pulled for me. It was way better than having someone tell you what would look good on you and forces you to try on 100 dresses! She was so helpful and together we found the exact dress I wanted!! I was nervous about the timeline to order but she called the next morning and said it would be in within 3 weeks and to not worry because they would alter the dress if needed the night before wedding to make sure it's perfect! The owner told me he would make sure it all works in time, it absolutely has!! My dress came in exactly one week before the wedding, they altered and steamed the dress all in perfect time! They even stayed late to make it perfect for me. I am so thankful for Kristen and the service I received here! I will recommend this to my friends for upcoming weddings! If they can do all this for me in 3 weeks, I know they can do it all!

My bridesmaids dresses and flower girls dress was ordered from here last year. My wedding is in April and the dresses are still not in. Charisma just keeps giving me the run around stating that they have called but are waiting for a reply. Very poor customer service. Very poor speed and processing of everything. If I had to do it all over I would definitely not even consider them.

I ordered my bridesmaid dresses 6 months ago and was told that they would be in by March. My wedding is in April, so I knew that was pushing it already. I've called the store multiple times in the past 2 days to find out the status, but NO ONE could tell me anything until today. Now the date has moved from March 17th to April 1st. My wedding is April 25th. I have 5 girls who need alterations, and it's too late by now to cancel my order to find something else. I'm highly disgusted with the customer service. Steer clear of this place.

I don't want to leave a star. Their service and management are horrible. They are never getting another penny from me or anyone I know again. If you order a dress make sure you have a year before the event because it takes that long. They tell you they will give a discount because the dresses are not in but they lie. The are very unorganized and irresponsible for their wrong doings.

i give no stars but the only way you can write a review is to give them a star. this place has horrible customer service!!! I ordered my bridesmaid dresses in December and they told me they would be in by the end of April. Here we are June 11th two and 1/2 weeks before my wedding and i am still waiting on one of my dresses to come in and they tell me it should be in by this day or this day and it is still not in, And to top it off, the other dresses had rust stains on them.They give you the run around every time you call, or just give you any type of answer to shut you up. If i could give any advice to a bride, mother of the bride or anyone looking for any type of dress "GO SOME PLACE ELSE" unless you want to be stressed or grey by the time you finish with this place.

If anyone were to write a book on poor customer service they could do 100% of their research in this establishment. It is dirty, old, carpet stained. I went in looking for a wedding dress. I found one that I liked, in my size, a brand new dress that no one else had even tried on. This was my first stop. But my wedding is less than 4 months away and the associate told me that to order a dress would take 20 weeks! So I wanted to put some money down to hold it while I think about it. She said, sure you can put 30% down on a layaway and we can hold it. I even asked if there would be any problem if I changed my mind. Well I did change my mind not even 3 weeks later and guess what!?! It was a problem, turns out I can only get store credit. And to top it off the owner (wife of owner or whatever) was incredibly rude and told me "that's our store policy". No I'm sorry, no nothing. I have a recommendation for you about this shop...GO SOMEPLACE ELSE!!! Give your hard earned money to people who understand what customer service is all about. Go to Antoinette's or A-Nets, or even Davids. But do not go to these people. They don't care about you or your special day. They have no ethical standards. I worked retail before and yes the customer is always right. We choose where we shop. Please don't make the same mistake I did.

Let me first say that I have never gone to a website to write a review good or bad, but these people take the cake....

The service is horrible and then some....I am the Mother of the Bride and we are 4 weeks away from the wedding and NO DRESS FOR THE BRIDE.....They told her it would be in the end of February and of course that did not happen...Then they said it would be here another day and OF COURSE NOTHING...They ALWAYS say they will call and they NEVER DO!!!!. Now they are saying it shipped on the 20th of March and will be there tomorrow and will call....I am so upset to know that we chose to go through a smaller business to get that one on one service and they treat you as if it is not a big deal and also tell nothing but LIES.....

I truly hope that people read this and know that this is not the company that ANYONE would want to use for their special day....

Nothing worse than having to fuss with the company that you give your money to, to order the dress that you have selected for what is suppose to be a wonderful day and then have to deal with all of this crap....

I will NEVER send anyone there to purchase ANYTHING.......I will continue to let people know about the HORRIBLE experience with this place and BEG them to never shop there.....

lies, lies, and more lies

I did not want to put a star, but it wouldn't let me post without one lol...I would not recommend this place to anyone! I ordered my bridesmaids dresses in sept....they gave me an eta of end of nov/beginning of dec...today is jan 30 and they are still not in!!!! Every time I call they tell me a different lie: "its delayed because of the weather" "the company gives us problems" "UPS hasnt picked up the order" "its held up in customs" "we dont have a tracking number" the list goes on....this has been a nightmare, I am a very patient and calm person but I'm so over Charisma and their lies....my mom has gone in, my m.o.h., and my bridesmaids call constantly...still nothing, my wedding is 6 weeks from now and I still have no dresses...what if we need alterations????? If you're thinking of ordering dresses from here, DON'T...but if you decide to not listen to my warning and you do go here....tell them your wedding/event is 2-3 months before the actual event, then you MIGHT have your dresses in time ;-)

Charisma gets a one-star rating because they are the only shop within 20 miles of my home that carries the designer I love. The service here is HORRIBLE! I've called multiple times to check on the availability of samples of various style bridal gowns. Each time, I'm told a card is being made with my information so that everything would run smoothly when I'd decide to visit the store. NOT! I arrived on New Year's Eve and the card was nowhere to be found. I excused that, but took note that this means they're probably very disorganized. I tried on the sample of my dream dress but felt like I was being rushed or pressured to quickly take it off and purchase that style. The consultant, Jackie, seemed very cold and disinterested. When discussing with my mother the choice of an ivory or white dress, Jackie quickly interrupted with, "Get ivory because you know it's been a long time since you were a virgin to wear white." Excuse me? Aside from that rude remark, she had already made up her mind which size dress I needed without taking one measurement, even though the sample was about 3 sizes too big, in my opinion. On top of that, she rudely left me standing on the pedestal, mid-conversation, TWICE to help someone else with a dress. Needless to say, I did not and will not purchase anything from here. I don't mind driving an hour to a nice little boutique where the ladies truly share in the bride's excitement, provide undivided attention, and take the time to respect the brides.

First off, I didnt even want to put the one star rating, It MADE ME put something..... it doesn't deserve a star... not even the corner of the star...I hate to talk horrible about a company BUT in these kind of circumstances, you really just cant help yourself!! I am the MOH in the wedding which is literally in Three days from now, AND there is THREE dresses STILL NOT IN!!!! What kind of business is that? Charisma is by far the most unprofessional place I have been to! And the bride keeps calling and asking when they are coming in and they always say "tomorrow" or "we will track it" but they NEVER call her back and she ends up having to call them again basically to be told the same thing. That is absolutely horrible. What if we needed those dresses altered? What if they don't fit? What on Earth are we going to do in a situation like this?! I am blown away about this matter. And this was just the BIGGEST issue with them, I could go on listing all of our problems with the rudeness & unorganized business, but I'll end my rant here! ....
