STAY AWAY! WORTH THE LONG READ!



I brought my vehicle to Chris in October of 2014 to have my windows tinted. When I saw the work he did, I was quite disappointed. I gave him the benefit of the doubt when he said the excessive bubbles would go away. They didn't. Over a week later, there were still bubbles - some of which had small pieces of dirt under them! There were also gaps along the window edges where the outside light was noticeably shining in the vehicle. When I brought my truck to him and showed him the problems, he concurred that the work was unacceptable and told me if I came back the next Monday at 9am, he would remove the tint and refund my money. Chris called and left me a voicemail Monday morning at 8am saying "I am shutting down my shop, you will not be able to contact me and I will not be refunding your money." I somehow managed to reach him one last time and since he refused to refund my money, just asked him to remove the tint, which he did not do. This was the last time I was able to get a hold of him. I had accepted the fact I would never see that money again ($180). Oh, and I had to pay someone else to remove the tint and redo it ($15/window + the new tint job). The issue was left at this for about 7 months, as I was about to move out of town.



Yesterday, May 18th, 2015, I happened to be in Lafayette running errands with a friend and saw his shop was open again. I had my friend stop there (who, by the way, witnessed every bit of the following) so I could talk with Chris about the situation. When questioned, he admitted to remembering that he messed up and owed me money. He told me to come back the next day and he'd have my money for me. I asked him to please give my my money right then and there, as he lied to me back in October and as a result, didn't trust him and because I was already there. He refused to refund me...at first. I then refused to leave the shop until he gave me a refund. The situation escalated to an extreme I was not expecting and definitely not prepared for. He began to scream at me saying this such as "Get the f*** out of my shop!", "You have 5 seconds to get out or you're going to see what happens!" Chris told me to go wait outside for 5 minutes and he'd bring me the money. I didn't believe him, so I still refused. HE then ordered his receptionist to call the cops on ME! I was a paying customer! Chris then reached behind the counter and pulled out a METAL BASEBALL BAT, started bumping chests with me screaming "You are not as bad as me!" Literally threatening with with a baseball bat in his place of work! I then decided to walk outside, and believe it or not, he did come outside with the cash a few moments later. Chris was full of excuses when he finally gave me my money. I took my money and left. The man clearly has serious anger issues and needless to say, conducts his business far more unprofessional & immature than that of a 6 year old. Also, he expresses identical traits of a drug addict, perhaps that fuels the fire in his angry, irrational, small and simple little mind. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! TERRIBLE WORK AND TERRIBLE BUSINESS!
