Dr. Tammra J. Banner completed her undergraduate work at Wilkes University and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree. In her fourth year at Wilkes University, she simultaneously attended Pennsylvania College of Optometry and received a second Bachelor of Science degree and her Doctor of Optometry degree. Dr. Banner brings more than 25 years of optometric experience to Lafayette Eye Associates focusing on primary care with emphasis on geriatric and pediatrics, contact lens management, dry eye management and ocular disease. Her vast experience with specialists and the management of complex cases add to her extensive optometric knowledge. Dr. Banner has participated in contact lens research studies and as a writer and illustrator, her work has appeared in Optometric Management Magazine and New OD magazine. In addition to her career, Dr. Banner cherishes spending time with her husband, daughters, and miniature poodle. She volunteers in the community, participates as a judge in the Montgomery County Science fairs, enjoys creating art, and gourmet cooking.
