DISAPPOINTING RESULTS & BROKEN PROMISES



When owner (Rick) came to quote for the work he said he would honor a discount of 20% which is on the company's Facebook page. When issuing the final bill, he said he could not give this discount as it was for an old promotion (2012); I accepted this as I had thought it was overly generous.

He said on his first visit that our couch and armchair would be hard to clean completely as it required a "dry clean" while he preferred water but he did say this furniture would look better by the time he had finished. In the event, there was little difference between the pre- and post-clean.

He did clean an off-white rug with better results than I had expected. However, a large stain remained and this my wife cleaned later in 5 minutes using a spot cleaner purchased from a supermarket.

When looking at 2 braid rugs he said they would be "easy" but they didn't look any cleaner when he finished. I called him the next day to say my wife was very unhappy and he said he would pick up the braid rugs that evening, to clean at his premises along with 2 large area rugs he had already taken for cleaning. After 3 days I called him and asked when he was going to pick up the rugs as promised. He stopped by that evening to pick up the rugs and said that he didn't think that anything he could do would make my wife happy - therefore, he offered a full refund saying we could hire another company who would charge more than he did for the same results. He did say he would re-clean the braid rugs at no extra charge. I said I'd talk to my wife and call him.

I left a voice-mail that night, saying my wife wanted her rugs and furniture thoroughly cleaned or, failing that, a refund of the money we had paid.

Hearing nothing further, I called again 5 days later to ask what he, Rick, was going to do.and when we could expect to receive our rugs. He came that evening with the 2 braid rugs (he said he'd cleaned again) and also the 2 area rugs, which he had not cleaned. His "refund" was only for the 2 rugs he had not cleaned.

My wife cleaned an area of a braid rug after he left and, again, it cleaned up with only a little effort.
