Outstanding Experience

I had an outstanding experience today with Brook's Plumbing. 1 of our bathrooms was flooding regularly and would couldn't figure out the problem. Paul arrived on time and quickly got to work diagnosing my issue which turned out to be a 35 year old toilet that needed to be replaced. Paul explained the situation and made the recommendation to install a new toilet today. The work was done quickly and at budget plus Paul was friendly and professional. I will definitely use Brook's Plumbing for all my future needs. Thanks Paul!

Waste of Time

We've used this company twice. The first time was excellent. The plumber showed during the 4 hour window and did a great job. The second time we tried to use the company, I got another 4 hour window (12-4) and scheduled it out a week so I could be home for it. At 3, I called to make sure they were coming. After 4, I called and they couldn't get contact with their plumber to find out what the holdup was. At 4:30 I got a call from the plumber. He would be here between 5 and 5:30, but unless it was simple, wouldn't be doing the work today but could look at it. I told him not to bother coming. I wanted a plumber to do work, not look at my problem.

Great Plumber Great Service!

I had a horrible septic back up of sewage into my tub & shower on Sunday of a Thanksgiving weekend, the owner himself came out and worked until after dark until it was finished and everything was usable. He was recommended by my usual plumber who was ill & couldn't come. A plumbers' plumber! Thorough, professional, prompt, polite, clean and reasonable. I'd recommend to friends & family.I've used A+ in an emergency and regretted it, they charge Waaay too much.

Over-priced & Shady

They charged $53.17 to come to the house for an estimate. They gave us the run-around about how they needed to customize every estimate to the actual job, but the provided estimate was straight out of a pre-printed rate manual that they could have given over the phone! Then on top of that, their estimate was about $300 higher to install a water heater than anyone else. This was just a flat rate and had nothing to do with the actual water heater we wanted. We knew that the water heater we wanted was $400 and they wanted more than $1000 extra for the labor. Ridiculous. We have used Mr. Rooter multiple times and found them much more reasonably priced, extremely quick service, and friendly as well. And Mr. Rooter gave us a 1-year membership to their service that has added discounts on any service and priorities on emergency calls. The actual cost of the Mr. Rooter service with the membership benefits and tax was still considerably less than Brooks' estimate without tax or benefits. Conside this our $50-lesson for others and go with someone who gives free and tailored estimates, as well as competitve prices.

Wouldn't use them again

I had a simple bathtub faucet leak, and I paid Brooks Plumbing $400 to fix the leak. After the Brooks plumbing technician left I had a faucet that not only leaked, but also would sometimes stop working altogether. I had to keep calling them to tell them the problem was still there and they came out a few times, but they never did fix it. In response to my 4th call, the owner said that he would not send someone out to fix it without charging me again. He told me that they would have to rip up my whole shower to remove and replace the faucet housing. The next day, a friend of mine came to take a look at it and was able to fix the problem with a $0.59 washer, and informed me that the washer would have taken care of the original problem that I paid $400 for. I would hope that this company is normally more professional and ethical than in my case, but I would not call them again.

Just what I needed

The plumber was professional, clean and hard-working. He knew what he was talking about and I felt completely safe with him in my house. I would recommend Brook's Plumbing to anyone and will definitely be using them again!
