I was lucky to find them fairly soon after I moved to San Diego a number of years ago. The neighbor who recommended them couldn't say enough good things about them. He was right. They do their best to do the work right and stand behind their work.

C & D is an outstanding auto repair shop. I've been a loyal customer of theirs for 15+ years. C & D will never recommend a procedure they don't think is necessary or not in sync with the manufacturer's specifications. Whilst it's true they offer honesty, integrity, thorough workmanship & fair prices===>none of which is to be discounted===>in my mind what makes them so outstanding is that they offer a personal relationship with their customers. This is quite unique in their field of expertise. In my own case, they have on numerous occasions helped me with auto repair problems above and beyond what I have contracted with them to do. They have given me the absolute confidence that if I run into a problem with my car they will be there through thick & think to hep me get through it. And I depend on my automobile for my livelihood. That is why I drive all the way from Encinitas to their shop in La Mesa to have my repairs done. It's more than worth it to me. I love them! The only reason I do not give 5 stars is they are rather pricy. Every time I go and visit they are always honest with me and welcome me with a smile.
