University of California, San Diego Extension is the professional education and public service division of the University of California. The extension is headquartered in La Jolla, Calif., and has three other locations in San Diego. The extension offers services for economic, intellectual and cultural growth, and serves the San Diego and Baja California region. It offers a wide range of courses that include professional education and training, cultural enrichment and regional economic solutions. Its professional education and training program offers professional certificates, degree-related programs and customized on-site training. It also offers cultural enrichment and civic conversations programs, such as Revelle Forum at the Neurosciences Institute, Helen Edison Lecture Series and UCSD-TV and UCTV. The extension also provides online education courses, which includes copy editing, embedded computer software, emergency department nursing and medicinal chemistry.
