Pritha Workman, MD, is an obstetrician/gynecologist who provides pregnancy care, including prenatal, labor and delivery and postpartum care. She is experienced with all types of deliveries, including vaginal birth, vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) and cesarean sections and committed to supporting families in their birth choices. Dr. Workman also provides comprehensive gynecological care, including well woman visits and family planning. She has experience in minimally invasive surgery and helping women with abnormal uterine bleeding, uterine fibroids, and menstrual irregularities. As an OB/GYN in the Department of Reproductive Medicine at UC San Diego School of Medicine, she teaches medical students and residents in her clinical practice. Prior to earning her medical degree, Dr. Workman was an active duty member of the United States Marines Corps. She has a special interest in working with female veterans and family members of active duty personnel. Dr. Workman completed her residency and internship at UC San Diego School of Medicine, where she also earned her medical degree. She participated in the Felix Rutledge Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center at the University of Texas.She is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Society of Academic Specialists in General Obstetrics and Gynecology. Outside of work, Dr. Workman enjoys spending time with her husband and three boys. She enjoys exercising, traveling, and reading fiction.
