Bryan Huang, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician who specializes in caring for hospitalized patients. As a hospitalist, Dr. Huang is assigned to patients at the time of admission and provides care only during their hospital stay. He does not see patients at outpatient clinics and is not available for appointments. Upon a patients discharge, Dr. Huang communicates with their regular physician to ensure quality care. Dr. Huangs interests in hospital medicine include the prevention and management of delirium, the prevention of falls, and reducing readmissions. He is the associate chief of the Division of Hospital Medicine and serves on the Medicine 401 clerkship committee. He previously served as the site director for the third-year medical student internal clerkship.As an associate professor in the Department of Medicine, he instructs medical students, residents and fellows at UC San Diego School of Medicine. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine and earned his medical degree from UC San Francisco School of Medicine. He also completed a quality improvement training program through Intermountain Healthcare in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is board-certified in internal medicine. Dr. Huang serves on the Practice Analysis Committee of the Society of Hospital Medicine. He previously served on the Early Career Hospitalists/Young Physicians Committee.
