Gurrie Middle School serves students in grades seven through eight and enrolls more than 240 students. Its academic offerings include studies in mathematics, science, social studies, language arts and reading. The school offers a foreign language program that includes Spanish and French. It also provides classes for arts, family and consumer science and music. Gurrie Middle School offers a variety of extracurricular programs that include sports activities in basketball, cross-country, soccer volleyball and softball. The school s fine arts department features a concert and jazz band, orchestra and choir. It publishes a monthly newsletter, Tiger Tracks, as well as has a parent-teacher organization. The school offers several student clubs, including science, chess, art, writing and sewing. Gurrie Middle School is located in LaGrange, Ill.
