Mike the guy that runs the place is awesome he really took care of my needs and really kept me informed and very affordable I appreciate the way they took care of me I will be taking any of my vehicles that need servicing to trans Corp of America

Michael (Mike), one of the partners of the business, has a terrible customer service attitude. In addition to laughing at my serious concerns both on the phone and in person, he wasn't concerned at all about the way we felt we were being treated, our Better Business Bureau complaint, or our AAA complaint--all of which we filed against them.

They took my personal information and signed me up for a car care credit card without informing me of the terms of service or giving me any information about the card (before my car was repaired). In fact, I didn't know I'd be receiving a card, I thought I was getting pre-approval for a bank loan. They never emailed me any documents or written/printed estimates, either.

You can get this kind of work done anywhere else for much cheaper, with the same warranty.

I'd advise everyone to be wary of this business and their vague practices that will leave you surprised and upset, not to mention the poor, obviously untrained customer service they practice.

I was referred to Transmission corp by NAPA Iron Clad warranty Dept...while I would never again recommend or buy a NAPA product insured by Iron Clad warranties... I am recommending this shop... they fell into a bad situation... Michelle help resolve the issues I encountered with Iron Clad ... she was able to step in and reach higher management and resolved my oroblems...Michelle had spent 3 weeks with Iron Clad and it was going no where... she then contacted higher management at NAPA and resolved the issues... she was available after hours and updated us on the process each step of the way ...All the employees are extremely professional and friendly... they went out of their way to be sure I was satisfied...I felt the shop was honest, thorough and not looking to price gouge.. if I should need their service in the future I will be going back to Transmission Corp of America in Knoxville, TN...

I have lived in Knoxville all my life and my parents have been doing business with Transmission Corp for a few years. I had a issue with my front suspension brought it to them and they had me back on the road safely & quickly. HIGHLY RECOMMEND the team here. They have a true concern for their customers

They were quick and very friendly and not too expensive.if I'm in this area again and need work done on my car i will go to them.

sometimes customer service is as important as quality workmanship. julie and trans. corp. on clinton hwy provides both! i have had to have the flameduckmobile in several times for service/repairs and they have never let me down. in my opinion, they do go above and beyond to make the customer happy. yes, i will continue to use trans. corp. as my service provider.

The overall experience with Angel and staff is unbelievable. I have never felt so at ease with a vehicle repair. Angel and her staff explained the repairs needed and offered a low cost, no pressure experience. I will definitely use Angel and staff again for my vehicle repair needs.

Thanks to TCOA for fixing my transmission. The customer service was fantastic. I happy with my overall experience. After inspecting the transmission they gave me options on how to fix it. Angel and Wendy are not only drawing in customers, they really know about cars. They aslo checked my car for other problems while it was there. The only negative thing I have to say is the price was slightly higher than a few other places I shopped around at. But in the end, I think it was worth the extra money spent to get the special treatment and to have the confidence the job was done right. Especially since I'm on the road a lot with work.

I hated to hear the bad news, "transmission rebuild", but the employees at Transmission Corporation America made it as painless as possible. Everything works good again and their follow up was great after the repair was made. I hope I never need their services again, but if I do I wouldn't hesitate to use them. My Dodge Dakota has never shifted so smoothely!

When my rear end differential was making a terrible noise, Transmission Corporation of America quickly scheduled me an appointment for a free inspection. And this was on a holiday weekend! Angel was very helpful and friendly. After the inspection, Angel dicussed the problem and potential solutions with me. We scheduled the repair immediately the vehicle was repaired and ready to go in 2 days. The repair was successful and the service and friendly demeanor made this a positive experience. I would recommend TCOA to others and I especially appreciated everyones attention to customer service. That is a lost aspect of business these days.

I found this company online through google. I had my Dakota towed there one morning after talking to Angel over the phone. They took my transmission apart and ran diagnostics to determine what was wrong. When I came in to get the report, I noticed the report was for a transmission that is not on my particular Dakota. After pointing this out, Wendy told me the components were the same (torque converter, filters, transmission oil pump, ext.) and the numbers were pulled to match my transmission and even though the transmission listed was not mine, they were the same component-wise. They had listed to replace an external transmission filter also, but here is the thing... my transmission doesn't even have an external transmission filter. The quote was for around $3,400 for a rebuild. After pointing out that my vehicle did not even have an external filter, Angel went in the back to verify if I was right, which I knew I was. Angel then proceeded to tell me I was right, which took me talking to two people to be reassured. Angel then looked up my correct transmission (42rle, and not the 545rfe I was told was the same) and how much the repairs would cost. It totalled to almost $2,700. This is $700 less than what they were originally trying to charge me. Had they originally taken two minutes to verify I was right in the first place (instead of telling me the components were the same and cost would be the same for both transmisisons) it would have been fine, but she insisted parts were the same. If I had known nothing about my transmission, I would have overpaid $700 and part of this would have been for a part that my vehicle did not even have. I am taking my business elsewhere. I can't trust a company to rebuild something so major and give me a reasonable price after they ensured me that my transmission needed something that is non-existant. Would NOT recommend to anyone.

We went to Transmission Corporation of America to get our car checked out. We had heard alot of great things about this shop and wanted to see for ourself. What can it hurt? All of their checks our free! When we got there they greeted us and asked us what kind of problems we were having with our car, what sounds it was making, ect. They are so nice and friendly and really know what they are doing. After they checked our car, they let us know exactly what was wrong with it and exactly what the price to fix it would be and exactly how long it would take to fix it. Then they asked us if we would like them to go ahead and fix it or if we wanted to wait for a more convenient time. There was no pressure at all. They pretty much just wanted to know what we wanted to do at that point, which was nice for a change. No story on why it needed to be done right now or that they already fixed it and now we owe(like other places). We had the work done that day and were very pleased with their professionalism and how courteous they were. We would definetely recommend this place to anyone who needs car repairs!

Gave me the best price and did everything they said they would do. Were on time and customer service was top notch!

As soon as I walked in the shop the manager greeted me and asked what she could do to help me. I explained what my car was doing and she got straight to my car with no wait to do a free computer diagnostic check. It only took about 15 or 20 minutes before she came back with an answer for me about what needed to be done. It was only a minor problem and I had my car back that day. Im glad I brought my car here. They were nice, friendly, and honest. AND SHE WAS STRAIGHT FORWARD WITH ME ABOUT THE REPAIRS, instead of adding on a bunch of stuff like other places. Im VERY pleased with the service and will definetely refer this place to my friends and family. Thanks guys!

Job well done! They fixed my truck for me and did a really good job! They did the work fast and it was done right! They gave me a great warranty and even helped me get financing for the work. Everything was hassel-free! Excellent quality control follow ups. They know how to treat customers!

I will highly recommend Transmission Corporation of America because our family has taken all 3 of our vehicles to them and we have received excellent customer service each and every time. First they offer you a free check of your vehicle and do a free computer scan to find out what the problem is and what needs to be done to fix it. They explain what is needed in terms we can understand and they do the repairs at a fair price. I will always use this company any time our family needs automotive maintenance or repairs because they treated us so well and they are very honest.
