The staff is caring and if you...

The staff is caring and if you have a large dog they will enjoy camp. But my problem is I have a small breed dog and I wanted him to socialize with other dogs. What I observed from the webcam was this. His first day he was there 7 hours and only out playing total of 2 and 1/2 hrs. The rest he was in a cage. The second day I did not put him in camp but I spend the day watching the webcam from 8 to 4:45 pm what I noticed was the dogs were out playing for an hour then in cages for an hour not bad. But once 1 pm rolled around they stayed in there cages till 4:45pm NOT ACCEPTABLE!! I don't know when they finally were let out because I could not watch anymore. Great place for Large dogs but not pet friendly for small breeds.

Keep your dogs away from PetSa...

Keep your dogs away from PetSafe Village. I have two small dogs weighing 4lbs & 12 lbs and I have tried boarding my dogs twice at PetSafe. Both times I reserved the luxary suite (including 3 potty breaks, 1 solo play, and a tuck in service) equipped with a webcam. Not only did I watch the camera, but I had a few friends watching as well. My dogs were left in the room without any potty breaks both times. During the first visit I called and asked why my dogs have not been taken out and staff members lied and said that they were taken out an hour ago (Which is a lie.) When I picked up my dogs one of the staff members said that I owed $82 (even though your credit card is charged the day you reserve the room. I explained to the young woman that I already payed for one nights stay and she threatened to keep my dogs hostage. After about an hour of fighting with this lady she released my dogs. I filed a complaint with the corporate manager. Four years later I decided to board my dogs at PetSafe again (hoping that they had better staff and service.) The staff had very un-friendly and un-caring attitudes the minute I walked in the door. I viewed my dogs the entire time on my smartphone and tablet. neither one of my dogs were taken out for potty breaks. After 6 pm no one answers the phone so you are forced to leave a message and then a staff member checks it at 8 pm (so I was told.) At 10 pm I watched a man scoop up the dogs at take them outside. Both dogs returned to the room 3 1/2 mins later (which is not enough time for them to potty in an unfamiliar place.) When I called to check on the dogs, I was told that they were not taken out because my dogs wouldn't allow them to. They only tried to take them out once during their 24 hr visit and I thought surely they could handle a 4lbs & 12lbs dog. When I picked the dogs up I was told not to bring my dogs back because they were too difficult to handle. Are you serious? Think very carefully about leaving your dogs under the care of this company. PetSafe's staff are definitely not dog loving or dog friendly people.

I heard that a dog died of heatstroke at PetSafe Village last summer due to being left unsupervised outside in 90+ degree conditions. I would question the management about this rumor or check with the Better Business Bureau before leaving your pet at this facility.

PetSafe Village (PSV) is a five star resort and spa. Under the outstanding leadership of Justin Wiseman, Facility Manager and Jason Goins, Assistant Manager PSV offers a variety of services: boarding, grooming, day care, day camp and training. While other facilites offer similar amneities, PSV differs being staffed 24/7 with an excellent group of people, many being ceritifed. Suzanne Brown, Doggy Day Camp Leader, has developed a wonderful program providing fun and exercise for our beloved K-9s. Prior to admission to camp, dogs are carefully evaluated for their appropriateness for socialization with their canine peers. Once in camp they are continually supervised and encourage to join in playful activities. Campers enjoy field trip to Pet Safe Park where they can "run free," swim and participate in agility exercises. My dog adores his camp counselors, Suzanne, Cathi, Katie and Jeni. Even though he attends camp daily his enthusiasm never diminishes. Our commnity is fortunate to have PetSafe Village, where ou pets are well cared for in a loving, safe, secure environment.

The BEST!

I LOVE PETSAFE! I've boarded at other facilites and have never been happy with the service. Petsafe may be a little more expensive, but look at what they offer! 24/7 pick up/drop off (I picked up my dog at 2:00 a.m. after a red eye flight), daycamp, luxury boarding, etc. With services like these, and a great staff, I don't care what they charge. If you like your dog, go to another kennel that's cheaper. If you love your dog, go to Petsafe!

I STRONGLY disagree w/ 1st review

I have been a loyal and extremely pleased camp customer for 3 years now. The information in the 1st review is incorrect. The campers get a MINIMUM of 3 hours of play per day. I purchase a camp package, which brings my cost per day below $15. I do not pay additional charges for the time my pet is in the suite (not a cage). The only time I pay extra is if my dog spends the night. My pet comes home exhausted each and every time she comes home from PetSafe doggy camp. I trust the experienced staff and will continue to take her to camp for as long as she is physically able to go! Thank you from the bottom of my heart, PetSafe Village!
