Medic Regional Blood Center is a nonprofit blood bank headquartered in Knoxville, Tenn. It comprises more than 10 community donor centers located throughout Tennessee. It also offers several mobile units that are designed to support blood drives at various businesses, churches, schools, civic groups, military and community locations. It organizes various blood donation drives for high school students. It is a community organization that offers a variety of services, such as collection, processing, storing and distributing blood and blood components for transfusion. Medic Regional Blood Center maintains an inventory of more than a 2,000 units of blood 24-hours a day.
