Been taking vehicles to these guys for over 2 decades. To say they are great is understatement. You could literally drop off your vehicle with your credit card and the repairs would be done FAST EFFICIENT AND with INTEGRITY. The crew is honest and they are a TEAM in getting things done. They communicate well on the times it takes for repairs and Shawn is the best at holding hands on the customer that is eager to get the vehicle back (that would be me calling each day) SORRY.


This is a family business and not everyone is related, but you would not know it by the cohesiveness that you see and feel.

I have visited Jim Phibbs several times during the past ten years and have always been pleased with their honesty and service. They have always provided quality care at reasonable prices. I used to be a racing mechanic, but am now rather old to perform some needed repairs. It is a pleasure to have Jim and his crew available in Knoxville.

Jim Phibbs (Shawn) checked my car out, and turned down the job I requested as not necessary. He fixed the problem for free and explained everything. Boy, am I glad I went for his opinion! I recommend his shop, and will be taking my car there exclusively from now on. I had brought the car to Meinecke because of smoke coming out of the front. They told me they had to replace the whole A/C system for $1,700. Phibbs showed me the A/C worked fine and did not need repair.
