I appreciate upfront and honest bedside manner from any MD, yet when an MD chooses to show disrespect, be judgemental, condescending, and refuses to allow a patient the time to tell how they are feeling and dismisses them with hurtful, disparaging, remarks is despicable! No healthcare professional has the right to talk to any patient in that way, We know the healthcare system has changed..Ive seen him twice..first time he treated me so kindly..listened and was willing to help, 2nd visit several years later, completely shocked as to how his attitude had changed...saw the frustration in him, heard the judgemental words and remarks, I left feeling worse than I did before I came in...I used to truly appreciate his very kind, patient, gentle nature, his intelligence and direct and honest advice...many of us thought the same. So disappointed with Dr. Kim, his direct and honest advice to me was delivered in a very unethical, immoral way...this can and does cause harm to patient's

I went in to see Dr. Kim yesterday, suffering from a sinus infection. I asked for antibiotics, information on quitting smoking, and a refill on my inhaler (I've had asthma since I was a child.) He told me that he would write me a script for the antibiotics, but that he refused to give me an inhaler since I smoke! He said that the smoking causes my asthma, even though I explained that I've had it since I was a kid. He then proceeded to lecture me on how smoking is going to kill me before age 50, and was incredibly rude to me all around. When I acknowledged that I am trying to quit (as I indicated on my previously filled out paperwork) he called me a liar and continued to berate me. I asked him to reccomend some smoking cessation products, and he told me, "Just quit, just quit!" I assured him that I am trying, but was again called a liar.

This is without a doubt the worst doctor I have ever been to, I left in tears. The worst part is that I came in asking for help in quitting smoking, and he ignored that in favor of telling me off!!!!! I have also read many other reviews that he treats overweight patients very badly too, so if you are a smoker or overweight, don't make the same mistake I did. Go somewhere else, like the TN health department, where they won't discriminate against you like Dr. Kim.

loving Dr Kim

We have been going to Dr. Kim for about two years now. He has always done his best to help us. We get free blood work, and he writes prescriptions, all for FREE! Yes his bedside manner leaves a lot to desire, and he can be brutally honest, but keep in mind that this man is giving freely of his time in an effort to help people who are willing to help themselves. There are a lot of people out there who are trying to get something for nothing or trying to get pain pills. This is not the place for you. look past the abrupt manner and see a man working hard for the community.

Going there was a waste of tim...

Going there was a waste of time. I filled out paperwork explaining my symptoms and all my other info. When the "doctor" saw me, he asked me about what my symptoms were. He never even looked at my chart! Then, after talking to me for only 10 minutes, he told me I needed to go somewhere else. I read about this guy being a Christian and believing in helping hard working people who can't afford insurance. That's why I chose to go there. It turns out, not so much. Don't waste your time!
