I have personally been seeing Dr. T Fulton Johns for over 30 years. He is the only dentist I would trust with my teeth. He initially started in Lenoir City and I was fresh out of the military and had no ideal about dental care. From a relatives referral I choose Dr Johns. From there it became a life long relationship with him and his staff. His staff are professional and very friendly and go out of their way to accommodate their patients. Dr Johns is a straight-up dude who is very knowledgeable about his profession and a friend to me for all his care he had provided me through the years. Any one who says different, doesn't know what a true professional means.

why would you do that to me? didn't you have an oath? this dentist seen a tooth that had food in it and then filled it in so not it is really bad. don't go to this guy he is a freak.

My whole family has been going to Dr John's since 1997.....He shoots you strait if anything is wrong and is fair and kind. I love his staff also they are like family. I can't even believe someone has anything unkind to say about him...he is the best!

Called to try and set up an appointment to have my tooth pulled. After saying they don't do that in there office i said, "okay thank you" only to be hung up on... Rude!

Just awful, terrible service. The office staff have to be the most unpleasant people I have ever dealt with. They do not understand that there are PLENTY of other dentists in knoxville that do not treat you like dirt.

Terrible experience. Charge $40 to cancel an appointment due to a family emergency. They could care less about the customer and went as far to threaten legal action against me for $40. What a joke of a dentist.....should have known something was up with this guy as soon as I seen him.

My wife and I have going here for several years and love it. Dr. Johns and his staff are quick and efficient. A no nonsense dental practice. My last visit was a scheduled appointment at 12:30 but I was back getting x-rays at 12:15 and the wife right behind me. Great job cleaning and then back to check with Dr. Johns who looks over the charts and examines your teeth. He always asks if you are having any problems and if he sees one will let you know and let you decide what you want to do. Very efficient, no small talk, get the job done and out. If a procedure needs to be done you check with the front desk and they will tell you exactly how much it will cost. Highly recommend!

Office staff were horrible, they told me I wasn’t allowed to come back until my mom paid a no show fee because she missed her appointment. I told them that my parents were divorced,I was a college student living with my father and I had no control over my mother… but they still refused to see me until the fee was paid. Then he put a filling in a molar that I still to this day think wasn’t necessary. I’d never had a cavity my entire life until he decided I had one. My tooth ached and bothered me for over a year after he “fixed” it. Then one of his dental hygienist broke my permanent retainer. He told me it was my fault for ever allowing my orthodontist to put it in my mouth, and he absolutely would not pay the fee it was going to cost me to get it rebonded at my orthodontist (and this was a week before I got married). So i went on my honeymoon with a broken retainer in my mouth.



They even sent us bills for some other patient that they had put the charges under my mom’s name. It was the craziest thing. We got bills for dental crowns that had my mom’s name, and my dad’s address. Mom has never had a crown either! STAY away from this practice.

Great Experience! Myself, my wife and our two young daughters all went for a cleaning and checkups. Very friendly and courteous staff (great with the kids). Beautiful office space overlooking lake in each room calms the tension. State of the art equipment. Don't understand the bad reviewers. Perhaps they have other issues unrelated. We have found our new dentist!

Absolutely a delightful experience. From the moment I walked into the office until my root canal was completed, everything was thorough, complete and what I was hoping for. Dr. Johns asked me what I wanted as the end product and gave me an opportunity to define what I expected. As with most, I was very apprehensivee about going to a dentist, let alone a new one - No more. This is where I want my dental management managed. Thanks to all of you for your compassion and desire to make this a great experience.

The offices are very nice and the dentist seems like a competent person, but it feel's like I'm on a conveyor belt / assembly line. The dentist ALWAYS seems to be in an incredible hurry, even when performing procedures such as fillings. They do accept my insurance and I very rarely have to pay anything out of pocket.



The one thing that concerns me is that I've had to return and have fillings re-done on multiple occasions. I take pretty good care of my teeth, and have had fillings in the past from other dentists that I've not had to worry about again. I don't know if it's just the material they use or what but the work doesn't seem to last as long as I would like.



I would rate my experience as positive with the concerns listed above.

He is very fair and his staff are great as well. He has been my dentist for over 5 years.

My family and I have been going to Dr Johns for almost 15 years now. I have never had a negative experience at all. The staff is very friendly and attentive and so is Dr Johns. They are very time efficient, from the time we walk in the door they have seen my family of 5 within 1 hour. And they do it with a smile! I had to leave for a 6 month period because of an insurance change and I didn't like the other dentist I went to. I am very proud to call Decathlon Dental our home for our dental needs.

I was a new patient and in a LOT of pain. When I called, they got me in that day and the found exactly what was wrong that same day. I had 2 abscess teeth so they put me on anti biotics and gave me pain medicine so i could eat and get some sleep. i am very impressed. i went yesterday and am already feeling a huge difference. Thank you Decathon!!

I did not have the negative experience the others had. They are set up to move patients in and out quickly, which I appreciated, but I had the full attention of the dentist and dental hygienist while it was my time. He did good work, answered my questions, and took time to discuss my options. The dental hygienist was very pleasant and efficient.
