I highly recommend the Puget Sound Birth Center. They were wonderful to work with.

Overall this was a horrible experience for us. From thermostat malfunctioning, to inexperienced (and in one certain case rude) student, and I can say they've put our child's life in danger by not suggesting the transfer to hospital soon enough (i.e. when the doppler probe starting registering heart beats under 80). I had to request moving to the hospital myself about 2 hours or so later and I deeply regret not doing so when I first had a hunch that this was not a situation they knew how to handle.



The truth is, if you want to give birth out of hospital, be prepared and know everything about it (both of you!), because you don't know whether you will get someone experienced and talented, or someone inexperienced and exhausted from a previous birth. Don't rely that everything goes well, and don't rely that you will get quality help from midwives.
