I had nothing but a super, excellent, positive experience with everyone I dealt with at Golf Cars of Houston in Kingwood, TX. I bought a 99 Club Car from an elderly lady not running. She said she thought the batteries just needed to be charged up. When I got home, I hooked up the charger and nothing, so I called Tony (operations manager) on Saturday, Dec 18th. I asked if his store was open and he said not on Saturdays, but still asked what I had wrong. I told him my story and he said go ahead and bring the charger in now and we'll check it out for you (on his day off). I ran the charger down there and Gabe (parts manager) checked it out (on his day off). It was fine. Tony stopped taking inventory (on his day off), to investigate what he could possibly do to help me more. After talking for a while, he came to the conclusion that the cart had 6 volt batteries on it instead of 8 volt like it should have had. He also figured that it had sat up too long and that the batteries were probably no good at all. He told me the price of new batteries; I respectfully refused, so he called the other store over on 45 and found 6 trade-in 8 volt batteries that he had for sale. I told him I would think about it. After I got home, I called him on his cell phone (which he had given me) and he was at home. He took time away from his supper and family to coordinate with me. He shipped the batteries from his 45 store to the Kingwood store, on his truck, and I picked them up on Tuesday, Dec. 21st. When I arrived there, Gabe also had a wiring diagram waiting for me. I paid for the batteries, shook their hands, and made my way home. After an hour of changing out the batteries and hooking up the wires correctly, I turned the key, hit the gas, and away we went. Now, lets review all of this! I'm Joe Blow that they don't know. I call the store when they are closed. They actually answered. They let me come in, when the store was closed, and checked out my charger. They then took their time to figure out what the real problem was, all while the store was closed. On top off all this, they helped me out by selling me some very good, strong used batteries at more than half off of what new ones would cost, and, had them shipped to a closer location for my benefit. If anyone was asking me about a good golf cart store with good customer service, I would say just call the Kingwood location and you won't have to worry about a thing. They will definitely treat you fair and just like you're a family member. Even though there's only 5 stars max, I give them 8 stars out of 5, because they went above and beyond more than once to make sure that my needs were taken care of. A million thanks to Tony and Gabe for making my experience a total pleasure. If I'm ever in need of a new cart or parts or service, they will definitely be the first and only place I call.
