I've been a customer with Heritage for 25 years. I've had a service contract with Heritage for 25 years. Last winter I noticed an oil smell in the house after the yearly inspection of the furnace and the installation of a new oil tank. I checked the area around the tank which was dry, but below the furnace unit was a slow oil leak. My cellar is hand dug and is blue stone over ground. I brought this to their attention and got no response until I got a notice from the EPA concerning the 'oil spill' in my house and the resultant red-tagging of my heating system. This happened in the dead of winter when I was in Hawaii on vacation. Temps were in the single digits.
Heritage was absolutely rude and of no help in the matter. They put of all on me, even though I had a service contract and had notified Heritage more than once about this problem.
I had no alternative than to arrange for immediate clean up by the EPA followed by the installation of a new heating system.
Heritage was dismissive and difficult to speak with. They will NOT help you in any way should you get in a problem. They will let your house and pipe freeze.
I STRONGLY recommend you do not use this company for anything.
I have never written a bad review about any company before.

Propane ran out on Christmas Day for my tenants. One of the delivery guys had written in magic marker under the tank lid "Gauge Sticks" and it showed a full tank. Have been a steady customer for over 10 years, Not anymore.

Had heritage gas as a customer since Majestics closed up years ago. Last year they told me I had a service charge for 108.00 bucks.I said for what? Gas took a big dip in 2015 .They told me everyone else is doing it ?? I said heck no. Sent me overdue bills and told me I had to pay. I told them I would take them to court for a bill with no service ??? Well turns out they took the tank with out telling me and I mentioned thats dangerous right?? Gas ?? So I had to call them to ask as I could of called the police and said someone stole my tank? Well I'm done with them a there hidden charges. too many other honest gas companies outh there. I Give you ZERO STARS Heritage!

We have been customers of Heritage for 2.5 years. The service contract came with the home we are renting. They are excellent at coming out and servicing our furnace. On time and very friendly. Their delivery, however, stinks. We decided to pay COD after being banged with an almost $800 automatic delivery bill. We pay an average of $1200 yearly for heat and a propane stove. We realized on a Saturday that we were low on fuel and called for an emergency delivery. The "Tech" called us back and said that we were a "Low Grade" customer and it would cost us $500 for him to come out and "test" the lines and give us another 7-10 pounds of propane. My husband flipped and asked how they could charge such an outrageous amount of money to a regular customer. He was told that it was "Company Policy". Needless to say, we did not take them up on their offer and are switching companies. Do not use them if at all possible.

This company tries to scam consumers. I recently purchased a new home that contains a buried propane tank. The tank was owned (and not leased) by the prior owner and I owned it when I purchased the house. The fuel in the tank was paid for at closing. Heritage Energy came onto my property and locked my propane tank unlawfully and tried to bully me into believing that they own the tank and not me. Had I not held my ground, they would have tried to lease a tank back to me that I already own. As leased tanks are not allowed to be buried they knew full well that they do not own it. I have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the Department of Consumer Affairs. Do not use this company. They will only try to scam you in any way they can.
