I regret that Darcey29 feels the way she does. I spoke to her and also her boyfriend on several separate occasions explaining how the Social Security disability determination process isn’t perfect. Many people are denied benefits on their initial and reconsideration claims. The instance culminating in my withdrawal was two-fold. Darcey29’s refusal to accept that she could be denied which is unrealistic given the decision process has a human factor in the decision which is the reason, on an appeal, the individuals working on the claim are completely different. Secondly the information I asked Darcey29 to obtain was to get the appointment dates for her doctor’s appointments. She had submitted endless duplicates of records that were not even requested and therefore to sift through a large batch of duplicates is a waste of valuable time I would have to devote to her claim where the benefits to Darcey29 would be more successful. It is only reasonable to expect a client to know and be able to provide the dates of their doctors and other medical related appointments. It appeared that Darcey29 did not want to contribute to an update of her condition, which is what the appeal forms are geared towards, and expected me to do them without her input. This is not a scenario for a successful outcome. Unfortunately Darcey29 thought that I should be available to do her appeal in less than 12 days from the date of her writing which is misguided simply because if I were so readily available I would think, “this representative isn’t in demand”. Darcey29 also seems to feel that I am not entitled to a holiday. Helping Hand has a very high success rate in obtaining benefits for its clients. It is clear Darcey29 is a bit confused as she posted her comments on July 2nd detailing conversations that take place on the 3rd and 4th of July. When a client is asked to obtain their own medical records it is to save them money. Many medical practices will give records directly to a client for free as opposed to charging a fee for these same records if ordered by a representative. I strive to provide great customer service, but with unreasonable customers it is hard to achieve occasionally. This happens to be one of those rare times. I wish her the best in her pursuit of disability benefits and for her health.

To Tresor V.
I was completely shocked when I received your letter terminating my representation. Never once did you say anything to me about not being satisfied. Prior to receiving your letter you called every day for more than a week leaving messages daily which I returned daily within a few hours. These calls were repetitively about issues concerning your doctor and their review of some imaging. I provided suggestions and listened patiently for extended periods of time every day because of your doctor’s lack of response. Now here’s the shocking part. Each day your last comment to me was, “Thank you. I always feel better when I talk with you.”

I only ever received one single page of documentation from you which was a copy of an assistive device receipt. Doctors don’t keep copies in their files. In your letter you asked me not to contact you so I was unable to discuss the abrupt change in your attitude and mood. What part of my job didn’t I do? I return calls the same day during working days and spent considerable time with each call. I had my associate, who has 28 years working for the Social Security Administration, assist you over the phone filling out all the Social Security forms. Additionally, I facilitate all interaction with Social Security on your behalf, to name a few. Our last phone call ended with your same indication of thank you. I have never said an unkind word to you. I am entitled to be paid for the time I spent on your case. This is a business and you expected me to spend hours of work on your case without being paid. I doubt if the shoe was on the other foot you would feel the way you do.

I do have other clients and if they all took 30 minutes each per day I would never be able to get to everyone.
I do wish you well as I always have.

• To the general public, I feel it is important that you look at this person’s profile and you will see that this individual habitually writes negative reviews and you may conclude for yourself if this review should enter into your decision.

Do not trust this woman. She is emotionally and verbally abusive to clients, vindictive when terminated, and extremely unprofessional. Her website is a lie and a complete joke. When fired SHE WILL come after you with a 'fee petition' to get her money, despite not having done her job. DO NOT sign that contract. The other poster is spot on, and I've seen the same kind of reviews from other people on different websites. You can see in the way she gave herself five stars and try's to talk herself up, that she is a narcissist. Beware this woman, she is not to be trusted.

VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! Helping Hands website states (We gather all your doctors’ records, diagnostic test results as well as obtain doctors statements regarding your particular condition and inability to work. We will insure all forms are filled out in detail. Little things make a difference.) And (How your condition is presented to Social Security is critical to the decision. Even if you suffer from an extremely serious medical impairment, your case can still be denied if the case is not presented properly. ) Helping Hands (Linda the advocate) will do the leg work, not the client, that a false statement. I had to do all the leg work, getting all the doctors records and the reports, I have multiple debilitating medical problems and I had to do all the work... when I got the denial letter from SSI a week ago , Linda stated for the appeal, she is going to have me go through the same process with her when I first took her on as an advocate. She has all my files and she knows the answers but she won’t go through the files because she stated she would need to go through hundreds of papers to get the answers but it would take “me” 10mins to call each Specialist to get the answers she needs. She won’t even start the appeals process until the 14th and she won’t mail nothing to me until Monday because of the 4th of July Holiday. I called to ask questions on Wednesday, the 3rd of July and she called the next day and stated she didn't plan on working but she called me back anyways. She was upset with me and said she felt like I was giving her the 3rd degree when I was just asking questions that I needed answers to, and then she said she was withdrawing from my case and she will mail me the papers. So be it.
