The people that run this no-kill sanctuary do a remarkable job, and, on a shoe string budget. No animal is ever "put down", they are very selective where the animals will be rehomed. Nice pets to be found here. But, keep looking if you want a chained mean guard dog in your yard, they won't help you. It is not THAT type of place.

I have been to halt several times the owner is great with animals she take amazing care of them and makes sure that they have what they need and makes sure they have their shots... if u have negative things to say about that place keep it to ur self she runs on donations and she only has people pay what she has payed to make sure they have their shots and are well money u would had to spend in the first place to take care of ur animals. And she probably wasn't rude to u the owner has a german accent witch sometimes with the accent can sound rude I have a southern accent and I get told stuff like that all the time so chill out and being bexause she pays out of her pocket to take care of these animals that people don't take care of or abused so u need to ask a question could u do what she does... probably not and also everyone has a bad day so think before u talk bad about a place

The woman who runs this is INSANE! She values the life of a dog over a child's! Do NOT have anything to do with her!

The owner was rude to me before I even said anything. Asking what we wanted, and that we weren't allowed there and couldn't adopt a cat. It's in the middle of no where in a junky trailer. Never going there again!

Operated by truly dedicated people. The kennels are so clean you can almost eat off the floors. There are comfortable homelike areas to meet the animals. I adopted my precious Lilibet from them and I am so grateful to them for rescuing her and keeping her safe until she chose me.
