My name is Tammy Kirkham and I was referred to Kewonia Grimes at Unique and Elegant hair salon by a hair stylist from Granbury, Texas... I have to say that never in my 53 years of life have I had SO MANY people STOP me and tell me HOW MUCH THEY LOVE MY HAIR ... I would recommend her to anyone ... I know she now has a life time customer as for myself.... she is AMAZING ..... so for all your hair needs give her a call.... you WON'T BE disappointed.....

I was pleased with the effort put into my hair until I discovered a missing portion of my natural hair. My hair was under a net and the portion that was cut was tucked under. I don't feel it was done intentionally, I think it was an accident handled poorly. I'm not pleased with the response I got from the owner nor the lack of concern. I spent a total of 440.00$ and that's far too much money and time to invest if something like that can happen. I had 3 ladies who did things to my hair and I can narrow down who did it to two people as a fact. I can't deny the fact that my hair looked very nice, however I care more about my natural hair than I do weaves. I've enclosed screen shots of the messages. I'm a business owner as well but I care more about my clients than I do the money. This is why I don't really go to salons. That was almost broken until I discovered missing hair and got a really bad response.

My first experience there was wonderful. I can honestly the lady that did my hair was phenomenal. When I went back the second time she was gone. Ever since then I've still been going, but the service there sucks beyond all belief. Every hair appointment I had set for a certain time was never met at the specific time. I've been real patient, sometimes I'd even show up early to only be seen an hour later. They take forever to complete someone's hair. So if you want it done in a fashionable time, like let's say an hour or two, don't go here. Every time I've been here, since the first time, I've been there for at least four hours or more. Waste of a day don't you think. The last time I went I wasn't satified with the way it was done and the lady never tried to fix. Least to say, I'm going somewhere else. They can keep all the gossip to themselves.

I love how my hair was done. I have really soft natural hair, so I really wanted someone who could press my hair without damaging it. When my appointment was done, my hair looked very healthy and had so much body. I will def. be back.

Overall, this salon is alright. The stylist do, do good work. I would say they are a little unprofessional. When I first walked in the first time, nobody greeted me and my family or said anything at all. Every stylist just stared me down. I went 2 more times after this and it was pretty much the same thing. They are very loud and gossip ALOT. The atmosphere is not the greatest. But again, they do a decent job on hair. Not the salon for us.

Life Savers!!!! I was able to get an appointment very fast which I desperately needed!!! Everyone was very friendly. The owner removed, washed and and re-sewn my weave better than my previous stylist did. I feel much better about the health of my hair and will continue to visit this salon as long as I'm a resident of Killeen Texas!

I would recommend this salon 100x's over. The stylists are great and very knowledgable about hair. When i moved to Fort Hood, a yr ago, i looked high and low for a good salon. I chose Unique & Elegant Hair (after much research) and im not making any plans to go anywhere else. Great salon, great ppl, great hair...you cant ask for more.

When I arrived to Killeen (Fort Hood – I am an Army Wife) my first instinct was to find a hair stylist, and fast! I tried a few salons around town, but I just was not impressed! I had almost lost hope in finding a great salon/stylist in Killeen! I just accepted I would have to keep my hair in braids while my husband was at Fort Hood! THEN I ran across Unique and Elegant Hair Design, and let me tell you WHAT A BREATH OF FRESH AIR! All my hope had been restored! When I say to you I HAVE NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED! I MEAN IT! They are patient with me (And trust me I am picky and have ADD/ADHD out of this world) and make sure that EVERYTIME I leave the salon, I am truly satisfied with my style! This salon has wonderful stylist, who aren’t just there to “do your hair” they become so much more than that! You begin to build a relationship with them, and now I don’t even tell her what I want, she just knows! I sit in my stylist chair, and she does her thing, and every time I AM satisfied! Every time I go out, I am asked “Who did your hair”…. “Girl that is too cute, who is your stylist”, and EVERY TIME I send them to Unique and Elegant Hair Design! ALL THE STYLIST in the salon are fabulous! I’m shocked that there are negative reviews up here! They are extremely professional, and when the world stresses you out, walking into the shop lifts all the negativity and you walk out feeling fearless and beautiful! It is such a fun environment! Every time I’m in that shop Im cracking up! If you are new to the area, looking for a stylist, give this salon a try. Everyone I have sent, are regulars! I have been looking for a stylist to do my hair for years. I have never trusted anyone to do it right with an all natural, elegant and classy look. I got a relaxer, black rinse, extentions and a gorgeous style. I am beyond exited about my new look. I did get a lot of work done and I will say it was and is so worth every penny and every minute I spent there. I watched so many people and kids transform in the time I was there. AMAZING WORK!!

KEWONIA YOU ARE TRUELY BLESSED WITH AN AMAZING TALENT. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY TRANSFORMATION. I COULD NOT HAVE PICK A BETTER PLACE AND STYLIST.

VERY unprofessional!

As soon as I opened the door to shop the stylist`s just starred me down, no "Hello" or anything.

They were rude and I felt very uncomfortable! When I asked the owner to color and sew-in my virgin hair she complained about how much work she had to do... really??! All of these

"Excellent" reviews are written because the stylist at the shop promises $10 off if a client writes a review.

This place is excellent! I brought my two girls over here after reading positive reviews online. I called them and the lady on the phone was very nice and explained everything to me. Being a guy, I don't know much about women's hair but they broke it down so I could understand the process.

As soon as we walked in everyone was very welcoming and made us feel at ease. The environment was very positive and they explained everything to us. This was the first time my daughters ever went to a beauty salon and they loved it. When they saw how well their hair was they felt like a million bucks! My girls will be coming here as long as I'm station at Ft Hood.

Again, EXCELLENT establishment!

I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone in the Killeen area!

Moving from NY and leaving a hairdresser I've had for over 13 years I was very nervous about being able to replace her. That was until my first appt with Kewonia and after that I was hooked. She truly is amazing and I now travel an hour from Austin just to get my hair done, every style has been beautiful as well as having great healthy hair. I am far more than impressed and I'd take her over my other hairdresser and day of the week. If you want quality you must see her.

When I first got to Killeen I had been to 5 salons and left every salon dissatisfied until one day I had an extreme hair emergency and wandered into Unique and Elegant hair design. For the first time I left a salon feeling good and looking great! The stylist are professional, caring, and trusting. They will give you their absolute best and make you as comfortable as possible. I recommend using this salon if you want to be treated with respect and look great! It's been 7 months and I am a loyal client! Luv them!

I moved to the area 2 yrs ago and being Active Duty it often takes te to find a good stylist that actually cares about your hair. The owner and all of her stylists are true perfectionistas

Loved it very professional they do great hair the owner is a hell of a cut and she can hook up some hair my weave was flat no bumps and lumps my girlfriend hair was so fly she got a short cut with color I will refer everyone to this salon
