they told me i was going to get my braces off today and now they said january wth !!!!!

When my daughter was 3 we took her here for her first dental apt because she had some decay on her front 4 top teeth and so she was all excited to go and did her xrays and teeth cleaning...The young male dentist tried to convince me to have all 4 teeth pulled "she's going to loose them anyhow" So I told him it was not an option to pull the teeth and he told me she could be put under and the teeth filled. So I was with her as she went under and they strapped her to the board... They woke her up before coming to get me so they bring her to me screaming and crying God only knows what happened because I had to be in the waiting room! Then the front filling came out so intead of wasting presious gas to put her back under they just held her down crying tears rolling down her face to put the filling back in. She is so terrified of the dentist. Thank God she is finally old enough to go to my dentist for cleanings and xrays! This dentist is beyond horrible and I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!!! On the other hand if you need a great dentist go visit Dr. Thomas Young on WS Young. I was so glad when my daughter turned 4 and I could move her to my dentist. It has taken 2 years and a few visits to my dentist for her to even begin to trust in a dental professional again. Shame on you Carus Kids!

Although these dentists/hygienists were very nice to my kids, they are not true pediatric dentists. My daughter had just turned one when I brought her in because she was having signs of decay on her two front tiny teeth. They told me to quit breastfeeding her immediately (and never mentioned even talking to her pediatrician about it) and that they wanted to pull both of the teeth out. They literally told me that that we would have to have four adults hold her down while the dentist did it, but not to worry because she was too young to remember such a traumatic ordeal. I left immediately (after being asked to go on yahoo and write them a good review by the dental hygienist) and after getting a second opinion at a REAL pediatric dentists office, my daughter will be having her teeth cleaned, repaired and crowned properly under anesthesia so that she doesn't have to go through a painful and traumatic ordeal, and so that she will still have baby teeth. Entire staff has been highly professional and consistently show a caring demeanor toward my children as well as myself. Dr. Scott was excellent with all 3 of my children - even my 2 year old, who is not always cooperative. He did a thorough exam and made it so fun for the kids. They loved it and I was extremely pleased. Top notch!

I just want to say that the Staff and Doctor are awesome in this office, they are very caring and are great when I even have extra kids with me.

the dentist here doesn't seem to care about the patients. The care was awful and the professionalism of the staff stinks. Find a real dentist who really cares for kids!!
