Born and raised in Sheboygan, WI, Dr. Deno Tiboris always knew he wanted to study dentistry. Both his father and grandfather were general dentists (Marquette Dental alumni) practicing in his hometown. After earning his degree in zoology from UW-Madison, Dr. Tiboris studied dentistry at Tufts University in Boston, where he received a DMD. His four years of oral surgery residency was at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. During his time in D.C., he was fortunate enough to experience advanced training at the Children’s National Medical Center as well as Johns Hopkins University. He enjoys all aspects of oral surgery, particularly corrective jaw surgery (orthognathic surgery), pathology and complex bone grafting procedures needed for the placement of dental implants. During his OMS residency, Dr. Tiboris was fortunate enough to have a large amount of training in implant dentistry and he has personally performed in numerous implant surgeries and advanced bone grafting procedures. He developed a particular skill with zirconia implants, which allow patients a metal-free alternative to conventional titanium dental implants. He prides himself in finding ways for any patient to be a candidate for dental implants. In his spare time, Dr. Tiboris enjoys traveling, cooking, skiing and playing his violin. He is an avid Wisconsin Badgers fan and loves attending football games in Madison every fall. Dr. Tiboris and his wife, Dr. Mary Ballard, who is also a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, welcomed their first-born son, Brandt, in July of 2016.
