My two children (8 and 5) have started training at KMA at the age of 4. The instructors are very knowledgeable and such nice and patient people, they're amazing at dealing with bouncy and active little kids. They stress skills like listening/following directions and respect which greatly helps reinforce our parenting style. They do a great job keeping them focused during class also by engaging them in various short activities. The kids all get to practice their combinations and forms over and over, and when they get it you can see how proud of themselves they are, which is great for their self-esteem. I've watched my 8 year old develop from a clumsy tipsy cute ninja-wanna-be to a sharp young martial artist who talks about wanting to be black belt and an instructor when he grows up! I wouldn't take my kids anywhere else and I highly recommend this dojo.

What I like best about Kempo is the completeness of the system. The other arts focus on certain aspects, but Kempo has combined the best of the others into a system with no weaknesses.



My self and my family all train here and like most people we all have different reasons and goals for our training. I joined for the exercise and to learn something useful while I was exercising. My son learns self-esteem and control, and my wife has become a human weapon.



The instructors are friendly, professional and experienced. I highly recommend Shao-Lin Kempo and this Dojo in particular.
