I used them because of living social or Groupon, but they did not honor my voucher correctly. I paid for unlimited and they left after 4 hrs, because they had someone after me. Later I saw I still had another voucher which apperantly it showed I bought two small instead of one expensive voucher. I tried to redeem it and they never showed. Now the time has expired. I'm very dissapointed!

STAY AWAY! I think the 4 and 5 star reviews are coming from the owners themselves. This company should be charged with deceptive trade practices and false advertising. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Their customer service is non-existent and they never showed up for my cleaning appointment, no phone call, no nothing. They just never showed. I think all the honest people who have had a bad experience with this company should get together and form a class action lawsuit. I was left to clean my home by myself before my house guests arrived. I was up until 3 am! This company should not be in business in Houston. They are a shame to all the local, honest businesses in Houston. Use anyone BUT the golden maid to clean your home. They're NOT worth the stress and headache.

They did not show up the day of my scheduled cleaning, not once, not twice... but three times!!! I was not able to reach anyone on the phone and none of my messages were returned.



I would hate to express a bad opinion about someone, but each time the Golden Maid did not show, I had guests coming and I ended up with no help and a house that was only partially ready.



Their website states "The Golden Maid is the standard by which other house cleaning and maid services in Houston and surrounding areas are measured. Once you see how we change your quality of life, you will wonder how you ever lived without us"



So I ask you, what good is their fantastic motto... if that's all you get... a motto since Golden Maid never comes out to actually clean anything?? :(

STAY AWAY. Very unprofessional company. They did not show up the day of my scheduled cleaning. I called twice, gave the rep my # & was told someone would call me back. No one did. I called again the next day. Same story. Gave the rep my #, was told a manager woudl call me back. I told her that I needed to speak to someone that day. Again no one called.

The Golden Maid has cleaned my apartment for more than 8 months now, and I have always been pleased with their services. Here are my thoughts:



Pros:

--Thorough cleaning every time! (Isn't this the main point?)

--Never anything broken or missing. Besides a clean apartment, this is most important to me.

--Cheerful attitudes and pleasant correspondence



Cons:

--Very busy, so sometimes hard to book at the time you want unless you reserve your time online with them. I would expect any good cleaners to be busy and try to book their schedule, so this is not a huge knock.

--Occasionally slow correspondence. This is also not a priority for me, but something to be aware of.



Overall, I highly recommend The Golden Maid!

The Golden Maid provides me the much-needed sparkle that every home needs, especially when my home is busier than a bee hive. From their outstanding online booking service, to their initial greetings when you first meet The Golden Maid. They are well-versed with a thorough and efficient knowledge of cleaning and setting efficient routines. I also love how I can alter my appointments online instantly and receive texts and emails confirming my appointment changes. The Golden Maids adheres to the cleaning scheme and designs and you are left with a home worthy of an Architectural Digest feature. Well done and highly recommended!

This company has gone out of their way to make sure our home is exceptionally clean week in and week out.

I am very satisfied with the services provided by The Golden Maid. They have been very responsible in keeping their appointments and cleaning the house thoroughly. I recommend them to any interested new customers.
