I went to HGC for weed control for the beds, the employee showed me where it was and I asked if it safe for pets, he said yes. My fault for trusting the employee!! I got home and my husband read the label where it states not safe for domestic pets!!!! I tried to return the unopened bag with my receipt but no, all sales final! They would not let me return it and told me to call the main offices which I did and was told "well you should have read the label at the store!" wow really!! Silly me for trusting your employee!! I will NEVER go to HGC again!!!!!!

This Houston Garden center if fairly new to Katy. I have been here 3 times and all 3 times it was a really bad experience. We went to go and buy flowers and such for our flower beds. When I started asking questions about certain flowers no one who worked there could tell me anything about them. For some odd reason the flowers did not have the little sticks in them that tells you full sun or part sun. Ok so I chalked that up to them being new. The second time I went I needed some mulch and sod. So I see in their ad that they have sod. As I pull up a huge sign that faces the high way says sod 88 cents. I get a few things walk to the front tell them I need sod. I have ad in hand and she tells me we do not have any. Ok so at this point just a lil mad so I ask the lady if she knew where I could get some. So she ask another lady with an attitude and proceeds to tell me No they do not. Well being in this area I know of about 10 places I can get sod. It was really just about convenience as to why I was going there. Ok so for the 3rd and final time I went into this place I needed insecticide for my tomato's again it was about convenience. I grab a bottle of ortho insecticide for tomato's and bring it to the front. She rings it up and looks at me and says 28 dollars and some odd cents. WHAT!!!!! I said this is all I got...she says yes 28 dollars. I said ummm NO. I had bought this same size bottle of the same product at walmart for 5.97 cents. I would not have given them any stars if I had a choice. Dont waste your time or money.
