Ashton, tech 988 was to the rescue. It took awhile but he was worth the wait. I don't think I have ever had such an extremely professional and polite person work on anything at my house. I would recommend him highly!

We initially booked a plumber to come out between 3pm and 7pm yesterday. I left work early and cancelled plans for the afternoon to be home for this service. At 3:30pm, their "water" guy showed up at our home. We DID NOT report flooding, we DID NOT ask for a water guy. He said he would take some pictures of our shower head and build a report for the plumber. Then, he said that the plumber would be here by 7 pm. The water guy suggested that we may need to take down our bathroom walls and replace the tile. This was after just glancing at our bathroom, not even touching anything.

We waited until 7 for the plumber and nobody showed up. We finally called and they said that he was taking longer than expected and we rescheduled for the next day. So much for waiting, we still couldn’t shower. The plumber finally showed up the next day at 6 pm. He had no clue about our problem because the water guy’s report apparently did not show up in their system. The plumber went in our bathroom with his dirty boots and stepped all over our brand new rugs which I found to be disrespectful. He also wiped his hands all over our towels, and his hands were also very dirty. This is very unprofessional!

The plumber said that it would cost $250 for the first hour and he assured the problem would be fixed within that hour, we said okay. He started working on it and fixed the issue within the first 5 minutes. We thought that was not reasonable and asked for a better price. We argued about the price, and finally after about 40 mins (mostly because it was hard to get a hold of his manager), he lowered our price to $100.

A reputable business who values their clients would have done what he did (taking off shower head and showing me how dirty it was) as a complimentary service for making us wait 4 hours yesterday. Btw, he had no idea that the water guy came to make a report. We are unhappy with the service and ripped off.

Our sewer line was backing up into the basement of our 114 yo house in Warrensburg. Scott (#3394) came out diagnosed the problem and repaired it in a courteous, prompt and timely manner. Would recommend and use them again.

Dwayne (tech #3453) was very professional and friendly. They did a great job and were very clean. He even put everything away under my sink when he finished the job!

We had main drain blockage from tree roots on Christmas day. We got things cleaned up and made appt for Tuesday morning. Jason / tech 0131 came out at 10:30 with trainee Brad. These two guys able to clear the drain but ran into trouble pulling the cable back in. Our pipes are very old and the found the real problem were having - pipes cracked & their cable got stuck. Very professionally, Jason told me my options and he already called the camera crew for to find the issue. I was very impressed with Jason's knowledge in the plumbing trade. Thank you, sandy

Phase two of our situation: Adam / Tech 1090 came out and did a full diagnostics on the main drain. His camera got stopped about 65 ft out, we saw the broken pipe & tree root ball. We knew we were living on borrowed time with this old pipes. Adam walked me through the problems and how to fix them. I'm sad this had to happen the coldest part of the season. I know they'll get us back up running again soon. I trust Roto-Rooter to take good care of us. Thanks, sandy

First of all, after checking out a number of plumbers, I selected Roto-Rooter because that is their expertise and their great reputation. My technician is Kevin (1720), he came on Tuesday, on time, and was very friendly, professional and was very thorough in the replace T&P valve process. He explained in detail what he was going to do before he started the job. I would greatly recommend Roto-Rooter! You get what you paid for and I am pleased.

I can't speak for their services because they couldn't even manage to get a technician out to my house.

I called a Thursday evening about getting an odd smell checked out in my cleanout drain in the basement. The dispatcher said they could get someone out the next day (Friday) between 4:00 and 6:00 PM. They called at 5 PM saying they were running late. They called again at 6 PM saying they were still running late. They called again at 8 PM and said that they were not going to send someone out that late "only for a smell" and "nothing actually backing up."

They said they would reschedule me the next day (Saturday) between 12 and 3 PM. I got a call at 1 PM saying that they would be there "within the hour". At 7:30 PM during dinner, I got a call saying they were running late and were sorry for my wait. I told them to cancel my order because they were supposed to be there 4 hours ago and never even called to update me.

The dispatcher apologized and offered me a discount if I rescheduled the next day.

So, silly as I was, said ok and rescheduled for the next day (Sunday).

The dispatcher said because I was put off twice already, she would make me "a priority case" and I would be the first stop on the list. I told them they had to come before 12:00 PM, or I was done. The lady said she would have an appointment between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM and someone would absolutely be there.

Here we are at 5:15 PM and I just got a call saying that they were running late and someone wouldn't be here until TEN O'CLOCK TONIGHT.

I finally cancelled, but I can't get those many hours back that I made sure I was home for them to not show up.

It's a shame I can't rate them lower.

KC MO Rooter Rooter is true to their guarantee-we had main line cleaned the 28th and required them back out on the 30th. Tech Tony was very informative and re ran the line (no fault of workmanship). we will not use another plumber and plan to have our line checked with a camera to see what is going on with the main line.

Called them out today for a clogged drain. Soon after they called to let me know they were on their way and they showed up early. They did a thorough job, explaining what they were doing and were very friendly and professional. Third time I've had them out for different problems over the years and they always do a fantastic professional job. I highly recommend Roto Rooter.

Called Friday morning about a sewage problem and Richard came out at the time I requested. He was nice & helpful.

I was replacing shower faucets in my home and could not for the life of me get one of the copper fittings to take the solder properly. After hours and hours of work, I gave up and called Roto Rooter. They sent over a Technician named Gray. Gray usually works nights, and despite him working the night before, he was dispatched to my house early in the afternoon. He had every right to be exhausted and grouchy, but instead he was extremely courteous and kind. He cut out the bad fitting and replaced it with a new one and then soldered everything up. It took us a few tries of turning the water to the house on and off, but eventually we were able to get all the fitting sealed and water tight. It was quite the ordeal and took us about 5 hours to complete. Even so, he gave us a great price and smiled the whole time. I can't speak for any of the other Roto Rooter employees, but definitely request Gray if you can. His technician number is 916.

I’d like to thank Gray at Roto-Rooter for a job well done. I had a major clog affecting my kitchen and bathroom sinks, so I called Roto-Rooter for the fix, and another tech responded. Unfortunately the main pipe, under the kitchen sink, cracked during the cleaning process and a MAJOR leak occurred as a result. To exacerbate the issue, this occurred around 10 p.m. and required a second tech’s attention--the next day. Fortunately for me, Gray promptly responded the following day. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable; I felt immediately at ease… at least until he gave me the estimate (nearing $1,000). Thankfully, Gray understood my financial circumstances and was able to offer a solution costing much less (just over a tenth of the original estimate). Because of Gray’s expertise, extreme professionalism, and willingness to offer alternative solutions based on my personal circumstances, I can now rest assured knowing I can place my future trust in Roto-Rooter with technicians like him! Thanks again! A++!!!

R'Cittio and Jordan from Roto-Rooter both assisted our family when we had a clogged main sewer line and a slow-flowing kitchen drain. Both of the men were very courteous, professional and knowledgeable about our common problems and provided some short and long term solutions for our draining issues. Even if Roto-Rooter's prices are higher than some competitors, I highly recommend Roto-Rooter in this area for their professionalism and the respect they show to their customers.

Our sump pump stopped working around 11:00 pm on a rainy night and I called Roto Rooter on Liberty Street in Kansas City, Mo and they were out within the hour and brought their water restoration team too. Everyone was very professional and did a great job getting the new sump pump in and cleaning up the water. Would highly recommend and they don't charge extra for evenings and weekends.

I have trouble with tree roots, but Derek came out to clear my basement drain and even cleaned up the mess on my floor from the backed up drain. He was very professional and left my basement looking much, much better than it was when he got here. And now it runs free and clear!!!!!
