This was the most horrific experience I've had when putting a doggie down....
I was told by the assistant that he would get a shot on the back of his neck to sedate him and he would start to feel relaxed and sleepy and that it would take about 5 minutes.
When she brought him back into the room, less than a minute later he started having convulsions; violently throwing himself against the legs of the chair, the wall and the floor. He kept hurting his head against the metal round bar of one of the chairs and I immediately sat on the floor to hold him in my arms so he wouldn't continue hurting himself. He was so scared! His tongue stuck out, the white of his eyes turned red, he evacuated and he became paralyzed but kept looking at me. I tried to console him and I kicked at the closed door for someone to come help — to no avail.
After more than 5 minutes the assistant walked in and was startled to see me on the floor holding by dog. She left the room and came back with the vet (a woman in her 40s). I was so upset and told them that I had brought him in to be euthanized so he wouldn't experience any more pain. I had no idea he was going to suffer like this. The vet's response in an nonchalant manner was "well, every dog has a different response to the shot". I told her she should have informed me so I would be prepared. I'm leaving this review so that other fur baby parents [in the area], will not have to go through what I went through. She or the assistant should have walked me through the process/procedure. In the past 23 years I've had to put 4 doggies down and the experiences have been heartwrenching, but very peaceful — nothing like this one. For the past few hours I've been replaying the entire scenario in my mind ... on top of grief I'm experiencing guilt and remorse for having put my dog through this horrific experience in his very last minutes of life. Please think twice before taking your pet to this clinic. 🙏🏼

The worst vet we have had in 40 years. It started with the front desk kid who has a ceaser complex and went down hill from there. It wasn't about overcharging like a lot of complaints we were prepared to pay dearly and was just greatful to have got in.please save your money your puppy or kitty will appreciate it as well as your pocketbook.

When my grand-cat became ill there was no one else we even considered for her care. The clinic team was there when she had her first checkup and shots. They were happy for us in acquiring a new kitten and they treated her as a new member of the clinic family. Then when a critical situation arose and we were anxious, again they were there with the appropriate concern and medical information. The Rockhill Pet Clinic team lives up to their slogan as a warm and loving place providing exceptional care.
