Provided by YP.comI won’t ever use this company again, they don't complete the job, false advertise, and steal your money. We hired them to move us to a different state and about 2 hours into them loading things on the truck, they inform us the truck is full and can't fit anything else. We still had half of our house left and only 2 hours until we had to be out. The movers even said that the representative lady messes things up all the time and that they weren't surprised. We called the management at the company and they basically said we are SOL, they didn't have any more trucks or movers, but for an additional full price they'd arrange for another truck. The lady was rude and said it was our fault because we told them we only had 50 boxes total- so that's all they planned for; that is a complete lie, we never gave them a quote on boxes- we even sold tons. She even said from the beginning not to worry because someone would do a walk through to make sure everything would work. We hired their packers, they even went room to room and assured us everything would fit without a problem. Bottom line, they are the moving professionals- it is THEIR job to make the proper assessments and decisions. My husband was furious and told them they needed to fix this. The movers said they should just dump our stuff and we could find someone else.we had to have my elderly parents help move the rest and find storage. We also missed our closing. We couldn't be at the other location to meet the movers, so our realtor had to be there to sign off.nothing was assembled, things were just thrown in random places, boxes and furniture were in wrong rooms, and things were broken. We spoke to the owner and he said he doesn't know why any of this would entail a refund. They are uncooperative and unapologetic. They have ignored multiple emails and calls. I sent a complaint to BBB, and they lied on that as well. So, still no resolution and an incomplete job- service wasn't as advertised; this is stealing.

Provided by YP.comPlease if you hire professional movers anytime soon in the Kansas City area, DO NOT use MOOVERS. they broke a pipe in Brandon's house in the laundry room, and take no responsibility for the damage. they just said "it was in the contract" OK, but the guys could of said hey, do you mind disconnecting the washer, would of taken me 2 minutes. instead they blew out a pipe by over tweeking. the also bent the hydraulic on my back storm door.
Please share this if you know anyone who will be looking at movers anytime soon. I am making this public so that you can tag friends if you prefer.

Provided by YP.comI’m not usually the kind of individual who publishes negative messages, but I feel compelled to share my recent moving experience and warn potential customers to NEVER use Moovers, located in Kansas City.
Initially, I felt that choosing Moovers was a good decision, but once the move began things quickly fell apart. Due to their trucks being already scheduled, it necessitated my belongings to be stored in their warehouse for two days. I was informed that the movers would arrive Sunday evening (my contract stated by 7 pm). They arrived at 11 pm and proceeded to make a considerable amount of noise and finally finished unloading the truck at 12:45 am. That was the first issue. Upon unpacking my boxes and such, I discovered quite a few damaged items including an antique bookshelf and one box was missing entirely. Keep in mind that I was promised – several times – that my belongings would be safe in their warehouse.
After repeated attempts to reach my representative via phone and e-mail, I was contacted by their “Claims” person. I was absolutely floored to learn that my missing box was actually stolen in their warehouse by employees and that one item (my chainsaw) had been found tucked away in a corner to be smuggled out later. All of this was conveyed to me in a very nonchalant manner by their “Claims” expert. After filling out the required forms and haggling with them about value, I finally received a check for repairs/stolen items nearly two months after my move. The lack of communication and inability to respond in a timely manner seems to be a trademark for all of their representatives.
I’m warning you to not use Moovers nor recommend them to any of your clients, family or friends. They have absolutely no problem cashing your check, but the actual service they provide is lackluster at best.

Provided by SuperpagesWorst moving experience of my life. Refused to place furniture in place, boxes missing, stole cash from my billfold. There is NO ONE to call to complain. And if you do, you're told to complete a claim form. They'll get back to you. Do NOT use these people. You will be sadly disappointed.

Provided by SuperpagesI moved on June 28,2008. My leather couch was damaged as well as my chaise lounge. I am very disappointed in the customer service I received (the old run around) and the claim process to reimburse for damaged furniture. I will never use or recommend this company to anyone.
