The Center School District #58 was founded in December 1956, and aims for excellence in all its schools. The school district has elementary, middle, high school, alternatives school, and early childhood center in its jurisdiction. Its counseling and guidance program adheres to the Missouri Comprehensive Guidance Program, which includes sequential activities from kindergarten to grade 12. The elementary school curriculum covers reading, arts, writing, communication arts, social science, science, and math. The Center High School has advanced media technology and TV studio, air-conditioning, stadium, a new track, and remodeled auditorium. There is also a program designed to cater to the needs of exceptionally gifted students within the academic environment.
