Dr. Barias is a Dominican born physician graduated with honors in 2002 at Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He served his native country as a General Physician for three years but in 2005 decided to pursue further medical training in the United States. He discovered his passion for the mental health field while preparing for his Medical credentials in the United States. He worked for almost three years as a Mental Health Counselor in Miami, Florida, then in 2013, completed his four years of Residency Training in General Psychiatry at Elmhurst Hospital Center, hospital affiliated to Mount Sinai School of Medicine. In 2014, Dr. Barias decided to sub-specialize in Addiction Psychiatry and completed his Fellowship in Addiction Psychiatry at Mount Sinai Medical Center in NYC. He complemented his medical experience while employed for Queens Hospital Center in Jamaica, Queens. In 2014; Dr. Barias relocated to the state of Florida; primarily to the city of West Palm Beach, where he solidified his experience in General Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry as the Medical Director of a well known national recognized substance rehabilitation program in Palm Beach county.
