The Dog Pad is nestled within a beautiful setting of trees on ample acreage, which is well maintained. The "Dog Pad" itself is professionally layed out and organized for dogs with inside and outdoor play areas.Tory the owner, is a dog lover and owns her own hunting dogs and is an avid hunter herself. She is professional, always pleasant and enjoys sharing dog stories. If you've ever used childcare, think of this as dog care. Currently, I send my english setter twice weekly for socialization with other dogs and people as it's just him and me at home.When boarded he has his own cot and I provide his blanket and special food. Prior to his return home they provide a bath. This I so appreciate.In addition to all of the above they pick up and deliver your dog on his sceduled days. This service is the best!The Dog Pad has served my dog and I well. It has met all my expectations and I would highly recommend it to others. My dogs needs are met, my needs are met and communication between Tory and myself is thorough and easy.

When I arrived to board my dogs as scheduled,a employee called in sick and no one was there. The "regulars" were all out in the dog yard unattended. Make no mistake, the owner knew I was coming and I was on time. I was there an hour, no one showed. When I called the owner she first said her husband was "out getting smokes" and then "st the vet with one of their dogs". She admitted this has happened at least a few times before. Thankfully, I did not leave my dogs there. I had visited 3 times to check this place out and was on my way out of town. She wasted 2 hours of my time to drive down there and put all of those dogs at risk. You sign a liability waiver, so she is responsible for nothing. I wish I had all of her regular's phone numbers to see how they would have felt. I only wish I could post this to their website.

I took my dog there sometime ago just for the day. I really didn't like the way some of the dogs were able to act out, growing, humping,snapping and down right nasty toward some of the other dogs. The owner does what she can to controll them, but it's not enough. She seems to spend a lot of time with the dogs which is great, but she needs to evaluate and accept more balanced animals in my opinion. We haven't brought our dog back since that first time.
