It is estimated that more than 4.5 million Americans, including 68,000 Iowans, have Alzheimer’s disease.  For each person, the severity and progression of the disease varies.  Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive form of dementia that makes it increasingly difficult to perform simple daily tasks or recognize loved ones. However, many Alzheimer’s patients respond to loving and positive interpersonal relationships.  As a caregiver this often makes it difficult to decide when to seek help.  You want safety and care that doesn’t sacrifice the compassion and support you have provided for your loved one.  You’ll find such a place at Margery Court.  Margery Court is an approved Alzheimer’s care program that respects the dignity of the individual.  It was the first program in Polk County to offer continuous care for residents with Alzheimer’s disease and related illnesses.  Margery Court offers a peaceful environment while maintaining the security residents with dementia require. Residents receive care designed to meet their individual needs.
