My wife and I visited 4 different places within the Des Moines area and found Dog Days & Cat Naps to be the best fit for our very energetic boxer Sophie! The staff was very friendly and very knowledgable about pet care. The facilities are very clean and have a lot of room for dogs to run inside and outside. - TM

I was happy to see that the facility was so clean and that the dogs looked happy and well taken care of.

My friend's small pup was killed by another dog that was put into the same kennel, here, at Dog Days and Cat Naps, in Johnston.This just happened within the last couple of weeks.I do not reccommend this place to anyone.When you board your pet, you are under the impression that they are going to be watched after. An employee put a larger dog in with my friend's 5 lb pup, overnight, and in the morning found that the little guy was mauled to death by the other dog. If you want your pet to be LOOKED AFTER, and CARED FOR, or not brutally killed-then I suggest you do NOT trust your beloved animals with this establishment.
