I have been going to Capitol Chrysler from 2001. I have purchased four vehicles there. The sales department has been competitive within their area..

The service department has been excellent! Russel Rictor is a trustworthy Manager of Service Department,

Service Adviser Chuck Angerer has been my primary person I use for servicing my vehicles, others like Ralph have always been there when I needed service. Excellent service at very affordable prices have kept me going back for 16 years.

The Body Shop I have used four times and have been pleased every time. I highly reccomend this body shop.

WOULDN'T GO Called and got a price for trade in, salesman said they hold best price when you come in ready to deal. They didn't act like they wanted to trade very bad on new dodge ram and salesman told my wife and I that was the best price they could offer and I told them I had a better offer. His only reply was if you have a better offer he suggested I accept it. I took his advice and left. Very unprofessional.

John Drane called me on a Thursday. He told me he had a big sale going on, and he had a guy looking for a Kia Rio. He said he though he could make a deal for me, and asked me to come by. The next day, I stopped helping a friend early, and took my son out of school early so I could go and see Mr. Drane. When I get there Mr. Drane has me sit down with a salesman and fill out paper work. I do not remember the sales mans name, but I remember he kept some bottles of Smirnoff Ice under his desk. After about an hour or so, the salesman pulled up in a nice 2008 Mercury Milan for us to test drive. During the test drive, I asked the salesman if he honestly though Mr. Drane could get me in this car on my terms, and he assured me that he thought Mr. Drane could, and that he does not like to waste people's time. After we returned to the dealership, Mr. Drane spoke with me, and told me he could approve me for a loan with payments in the high $500's. Mr. Drane has had my credit information for over a month, and he knew that my max monthly payment is $300. I know that I have set a very hard goal to meet. I understand with my current credit score, what I own on my current car, my lack of money down, and my lack of a co-signer mean that it is an uphill battle to get me approved for a loan while meeting my criteria. What I don't understand is why, knowing all of this before hand, Mr. Drane would have me drive all the way to Jeff City, have me test drive a car, and hang out for about three hours just to tell me he is over $250 more a month, (almost double) what I am willing to pay. That was very aggravating. If you can't meet my criteria, I understand, it's fine, But do not call me, give me some story about a big sale and waste my time test driving a car I like, but can't afford. Mr. Drane should have done his research before he ever called me. Just to be clear, I'm not upset that I wasn't able to drive away in a different car, I'm upset because I was led to believe Mr. Drane had a deal for me, and I feel my time was wasted. Mr. Drane sounded very enthusiastic that he could help me, and I gave my hopes up a little. I won't make that mistake again.

Ask a lot of questions

My wife and I bought a minivan, now I'll admit it was a base model, still brand new and around 20 grand. So... After the typical run around i.e. sitting in the dealership all day. Finally, get our vehicle, only to find out it doesn't come with floor mats. I guess it was my bad for not asking, but I assumed that was a standard option. The salesman said he could get us some at a discount, I guess buying a van isn't enough. Had I have know, I would have told then I wasn't going to buy it, unless floor mats were included. They had me at that point, because the paperwork was signed. Watch out for these guys, and never take anything for granted.... On second thought, maybe I should check to see if there's an air filter, because I didn't see that on the window sticker!

Don't use

If you can help it, buy from another dealer. They did not file my paperwork until two weeks after the purchase, causing my temp tags to expire before I had all the paperwork needed to register it with MO DMV. Horrible customer service, they do not return calls to you, left several messages and not one returned, had to contine to call until the salesperson was available. Had to continue to call for updates on their failure. Spoke with the owner of the dealership did not seem to concerned about the situation. I am a veteran and I cannot believe that I would fight to protect these people who delivery this type of service.
