This area has a number of gun shops, all within a short driving distance. Tanners is in fact the furthest of all from my home and I will drive the extra distance to make my purchases. Their selection is the broadest, their prices are the best, but what keeps me coming back is the staff. I have been in there and there were people in line at the counter, and the staff there always has time to answer questions, offer to let you inspect and handle what you are interested in. You always feel welcome and it seems that they always remember your name and what you purchased the last time in. I would recommend Tanners to everyone from 1st time buyer to experienced shooter, no pressure, good selection, and fair prices.

I have been a Tanner's customer, since, well...since they opened. Mr. Tanner prided himself on treating their customers fairly, and, with respect.

The next generation has carried that mantle quite proudly.

from an extremely knowledgeable and respectful staff, to a selection ranging from antiques to the absolute latest, you will find it at Tanner's. They don't have it on hand? not a problem, as special order is available. consignment in store, as we'll as on Gunbroker is available for selling, as well as trade ins.

Their buying power translates into great savings for their customers, as well as having what you need, when you need it. They will not try to retire off of what they are selling you that day. and, I have never seen a customer treated unfairly or disrespectfully ever.

Great place. Great people. I've purchased several firearms there and they by far and away offer the best prices. This keeps me returning, time and time again. Not the cheapest for ammo but only by two or three bucks per box. Very large selection of new firearms and largest used firearms section in the area. Highly recommended.
