Matthew Burgess, owner of Burgess Built, started out working for his grandfather’s flooring business in the mountains of North Carolina. The business had been around for 77 years, passing down plenty of skills and knowledge. When his grandfather retired, Matt took it upon himself to continue building on those talents and widening his range of skills by working in other fields of construction. In 2009, Burgess Built was founded and in a short amount of time has grown from a one man operation to a full-fledged contracting business with employees specializing in different fields of construction. This growth has given Burgess Contracting the opportunity to take on many jobs including home renovations, business upfits, and bathroom remodels.
