Of the car rental services at JFK Airport, national is the best. I have had only pleasant experiences with this car company (at many airport locations), including my recent reservation on January 27, 2017. The representatives are always helpful, the car selections are great, there is never any wait time - except for the car or two before me at the gate. The other companies should model themselves after National Car Rental

Very unpleasant experience for an Emerald member. First time that I have ever been told that I could not get a car without a reservation. They had me wait there while i booked one over the phone telling me they had no cars.



Over the phone i was told it was they first time they heard that too and that i should not require a booking to get a car. I wanted a minivan while they told me they did not have such a thing in the parking lot. I had to push them to go check and in the parking lot they actually had over 12 vehicule on any size. They were not even aware of what they had in the Parking Lot.



Know your priviledge as Emerald Member and push through the road blocks that this National Rental counter will put ...



Pay an extra 5$ and drop he car somewhere else if you can to avoid the hassle of going back there to drop the car...
